I know for certain that a significant number of Patients who come into the Trauma Rooms in my hospital are indeed intubated ‘in the field.’ I cannot say what the number is with certainty, but I would speculate that it is something near half, perhaps more, maybe fewer.

Those EMT people, Paramedics are amazing. My finest impression of them is how they present their report verbally before the Trauma Team. They can almost tell you what the Patient had for dinner. They provide details on O2 Saturation, blood pressures, heart rate, and a lot more. They are typically a spectacular part of the Emergency Health Care function.

They work with people bleeding profusely. Sometimes the Patients are alert and hostile due to alcohol or drugs. They contend with twisted limbs, smashed skulls, broken backs, and a plethora of other injuries.

I have witnessed so much of this stuff, personally, up close. Early on I thought that I might have problems with this sort of work, though I never did. I had my assigned functions and the Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, and others on the Team had theirs. It always worked well.

The most difficult cases where when the EMTs simply were deployed to recover a Patient ‘Found Down.’ Often it was mystery. It could be heart attack, stroke, drug overdose, gun shots, so many different causes for them being down and little information available other than vital signs or if they were requiring high levels of supplemental O2 or assisted ventilation.

I am rather certain that the job of being an EMT in a big city is not for the squeamish. This insanity of compelling these First Responders to comply with these absolutely useless vaccines is either complete madness or a reflection of a very sinister conspiracy by persons in authority who aspire to greater political heights.

I think there is a lot to the “adrenaline junkie” phenomenon. Some people use it for good. Others, no so much....
