The Delta Variant changes the situation with transmissiblity. Delta infection reaches the same peak of viral load for vaccinated and unvaccinated. However the viral load for vaccinated exists for a shorter period of time making one contagious for a shorter period of time. Also, when a vaccinated person is infected with the Delta Variant, they will get natural immunity that will add to the immunity they have with the vaccine with less serious illness.
Just read that statement slowly. It is complete dissembling. She says, the vaccine does not prevent the spread of Covid, it only mitigates the symptoms. Therefore, it the unvaccinated people’s fault and you should wear a mask if you’re around them.
Her statement is absolute word salad nonsense and yet she is not called out on it.

People routinely get boosters for illnesses such as chickenpox, tetanus, diphtheria, mumps, measles, and rubella—to name a few. Such are given because you need the extra doses to get longer lasting protective immunity. Such is the case for the COVID vaccine. A booster shot is recommended due to concern that the effectiveness of the vaccine decreases over time and may not protect against a new strain, such as Delta. A booster may be given to older people or those with chronic medical conditions or other risk factors, such as transplant patients taking anti-rejection medication.
The COVID booster may be the exact replica of the original vaccine. If the virus evolves further and there is a worse variant, the vaccine can be tweeked for the needed protection.
Haven’t they already admitted that and that’s why they’ve changed the definition of vaccine twice in the last year?
They don’t keep you from getting it. They don’t prevent you from transmitting it.
What do they actually do?
Like I said, anyone who listens to this administration, this CDC, the government, or this media, shows themselves to be completely brainless drones. And that includes anyone who supports the government endeavors in any form.

I guess we learned that COCID can be transmitted by asymptomatic persons. With the Delta Variant, people are more contagious. Dr. Fauci will speak about the latest information without getting the entire picture. Many times he has been wrong after new information is found. We need to be patient. This pandemic has been a real ride.
