An intruder was mauled to death by a pair of dogs after breaking into a Georgia home last week, according to local authorities.
The homeowner, who was not named, discovered the body of 21-year-old Alex Binyam Abraha on his front porch around 10:30 am on September 24.
Authorities said Abraha successfully entered the two-bedroom house in a rural area of Newnan the night before, and was immediately greeted by two pit bulls inside the home.
The sheriff’s department initially called in homicide investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation thinking that Abraha's death was a murder.
However, the medical examiner eventually determined he died from injuries sustained during the dog attack.
Fox News reports that the homeowner told authorities he did not know Abraha nor did he know how he got in, adding the man had no reason to be inside the house.
Both dogs were seized as a part of the investigation by the county's Department of Corrections. As of Friday afternoon, it was not immediately clear what will happen to them.
Pictures of both dogs were tweeted by Doug Evans, a journalist with local Fox affiliate WAGA-TV.
Abraha, who grew up in Worthington, Minnesota, had several active warrants in Fulton County at the time of his death, Fox News reports.

Good doggies! They look a bit like my two rescue pittie mixes.
Neighbors ask the home owner where they could get a pit bull…….
Good dogs! I say they get promoted to the junkyard.
I hope the dogs are not harmed.
I don’t want to know how the owner slept through all that, but it seems that Mr. Abraha decided what his own life was worth.
It would take a heart of stone not to laugh.....
Damned shame. I hope the dogs weren’t harmed. They might catch rabies or some other disease. Better take them to the vet’s for a check up.
The video says they will go home as long as they don’t have rabies. :) #GoodDogs #Woof
Wouldn't know it, this Rhodes scholar had several active warrants in Fulton County at the time of his death. I hope this does not interfere with the dogs' strict vegan diet.
They can cancel the Arrest Warrants now.
If they do, you know where they caught it.
Those dogs were lying in wait?
Hard to believe they didn’t give plenty of advance warning to the intruder to get the hell out of there.
Dogs were all bite and no bark.
He looks like he tasted like shit!
I am not a fan of pit bulls, but this sounds like a proper deployment, and yes ... I would get them a nice T-bone to share.
Another aspiring rapper who was just starting to get his life together and was gonna start college real soon. Did I miss anything?
Defending the pack like they should.
There’s more to the picture than meets the eye.
Just keeping gettin' better. Admittedly, 25 grand is nuttin like the 25 mill that George Floyd's family got from the Minneapolis. Maybe he shudda stayed in Minnesota. Still, the family could afford to a trip to a resort in the Caribbean this winter to pay proper homage and honor to the memory of Mr. Abraha, late of Minnesota and Fulton County, Georgia.
