Ragnar is loose. With a trailing leash.
Y’all, it happened like this, I was bringing him in from his fenced yard when he saw something off in the distance. He tried to pull away and began jerking the leash. He pulled me over and drug me for a little while before I let go. He is VERY STRONG as well as HUGE. So, he ran merrily after ... whatever ... and the last I saw of him was racing up the hill and away. The pain in my right side is increasing now (pain with me tends to “develop”, is this normal?) and I’m having difficulty moving my arm w/o groaning. So, I CANNOT go out looking for him. I am totally worried about that leash getting snagged on something.

Hope you are OK, nothing broken and that Rags comes back.
You were smart to let go before he seriously hurt you.
When Rags gets hungry, he will find his way back.

With my tendonitis, I’d overuse my arms but not know I did it until an hour or so later. Sometimes I could preempt the pain by using an ice bag early.
I hope Ragnar comes home soon!
Sorry to hear this. Yes pain usually develops slowly. I pray your dog comes back unharmed. Is there nobody around who could go out looking for him if he doesn’t?
