"I think the wood would be all rotted away by now....................."

Genesis 6:14 shows that G-d instructed Noah to seal (my word) both inside and outside surfaces of ark, hinting divine purpose to at least slow decay imo.

...and Elvis on Mars! Do we really need wood to survive 6000 years to have faith in God?

Isn’t that the formation on Mt Ararat, which the gov’t of Turkey forbids anyone from visiting or exploring?

This talks a little about how the spaces between wooden planks on ships were caulked to keep the water out.

I would think they recycled it after they moved out. Would need the wood for cooking, sacrifices and shelter.

Shalom Aleichem.

Possible, but in some cases of extremely cold conditions things get preserved?

It wood, er, would be no more dry than any other wood that had been floating around for half a year, which would be most of the wood.

During the Cold War, I heard the reason people couldn't visit Mt. Ararat was because it was in a contested region of the Turkish-Soviet border.

"Last time I read about this site, I thought it had been determined to only be an odd geological formation."

That is the top of an anticline, not a boat.

One would think it would be easy to find said scans on a website of that name but nope. All I see are the same drone pics.
