Isn’t that the formation on Mt Ararat, which the gov’t of Turkey forbids anyone from visiting or exploring? During the Cold War, I heard the reason people couldn't visit Mt. Ararat was because it was in a contested region of the Turkish-Soviet border.

I heard that Turkey didn’t want the Noah’s Ark Biblical story proven correct, since it would advance Christianity and possibly diminish islam(SPIT!).
