always liked his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock- yeah, it was hippie dippy anti-war crap- but still it sounded pretty cool- he made the guitar sound like helicopter rotors, and gun fire- somehow- was quite trippy really-

Jimi may not have been a fan of the war, but he didn't hate America.
