Two FBI agents briefly visited the North Port, Fla. home of Brian Laundrie on Sunday morning and asked his parents for some of their son's personal items to help with "DNA matching," according to the family's lawyer.

"The FBI requested some personal items belonging to Brian Laundrie to assist them with DNA matching and Brian’s parents provided the FBI with what they could," the Laundries' lawyer, Steven Bertolino, told Fox News on Sunday.

The Coroner stated that it is a homicide. What he hasn't done is give a cause of death pending toxicology results. That would entail testing tissue samples, finger nail scrapings, blood work etc. Some of those tests take a long time.

if they cant get a confession from him they cant pin it on him?

They don't need a confession if they have solid forensics.

I still think the animals trashed her body.

Forensics can tell the difference between animal teeth/claw marks and weapon marks. It is truly amazing what forensics can do.

Could be. Brian Entin reported this evening the search at the swamp continues by air.

Police say the search at the reserve is continuing by air. They need water levels to drop in some areas. Many of the trails are very flooded I noticed when I was out there.

FBI guys are pissed because they are actually having to do some spade work and get out of their cubicles. I hope dog the bounty hunter finds him before the gum shoes.

Perhaps his parents actually liked Gabby more than the liked him and when they found out what he did to her, they killed HIM and dumped his body in the reserve....

They need a DNA sample that they know is only his

Which is why, according to the Fox News article that the FBI asked the parents to pick up some personal items belonging to their son and give the items to them. That way the FBI is absolutely certain that nobody else touched the items other than Brian. There is absolutely no way that the DNA from the parents would get on the items that they picked up and carried across the house to the waiting FBI agents.

Nor is it even remotely possible that the items the parent or parents picked up had ever been touched by anybody else. Like the cleaning person, one of Brian's friends, or even his girlfriend who also reportedly used to live in the house.

What is your point? We don’t know what they took. I suspect some would be grooming items that only he used.

We don’t know what they took

Actually we don't know if they took anything, or why. And even if the FBI says they did something it may well be a untrue. Look at all the testimony related to the Russia investigation where FBI employees at all levels up to the director seemed to have trouble telling the truth.

They probably just went over to the house to get some footage on the evening news after they saw Dog the Bounty Hunter got some attention doing the same thing. The jackets with the big "FBI" logo on the back seem more for the cameras than anything else.

They and everyone else working on that investigation would have to be idiots not to have obtained a DNA sample they could associate with Brian Laundrie some time ago.

The FBI didn't make any statements as to why they were there. The Laundrie family attorney did and he never mentioned "Russia".

Have a lovely evening.

They may be establishing whether the parents are cooperating with or obstructing the investigation.

This is all subterfuge! Dog the Bounty Hunter went to his parents house yesterday and knocked on the door. They were just wanting to collect a fresh sample of Dog’s DNA so they could frame him for something down the road.

Of course, that would be one purpose for such a visit.

“....Why wouldn’t they obtain DNA source when Brian was initially reported missing or when the FBI raided the home the first time? When the search of Carlton Reserve first started for missing Brian, they took clothing items belonging to Brian to give scent to the search dogs.”
