No, it was called the “Spanish” flu because, amid all the news censorship of World War I (where it was circulating like mad on both sides), the neutral Spanish press were the only ones reporting on it.
Incidentally, RSV made a major out-of-season appearance this past summer, especially among children.
I am more logical than many here as I OBJECTIVELY look at it all
And I have had someone in the family die from the flu and this is NOT Just the flu.
The shingles vaccine was pulled from the market. Lots of side effects. Lots of lawsuits. Ostensibly it was pulled because a better Shingles vax was on the market
Even though I am suffering from a bad reaction to a vaccine I am still going to get that shingles shot. Dreading it.
Somehow I doubt it. FR seems to be filled with pro vax propagandists who just want everyone to believe whatever lies the feds feed us about the Covid vax and just get vaxed and be part of the new collectivist Amerika.
Re: “Seasonal flu is 0.06% - 0.08%”
Not sure what that rate is, but it is impossible to compare influenza and COVID fatality rates.
The CDC does not count them the same way...
COVID + Pneumonia or ARDS death = 100% COVID deaths
Flu + Pneumonia or ARDS death = 10%-20% Flu deaths
About 55% of all COVID deaths involve pneumonia or ARDS, so this is not a trivial number.
I am still going with the theory that the viral load that you catch makes a difference on how sick you get....thus I am doing whatever possible to kill off whatever I get
I have to go to the hospital today for a test. I will be taking my pvp iodine swab and mouthwash that kills COvid with me and use it as soon as I get to my car. Maybe it works...maybe it doesn’t...but I am doing it
Not the sharpest tool in the shed. It's more than a little flu. Getting vaccinated now would be pointless. He sounds like a very uneducated activist as many seem to be. He and three others formed an LLC for activism? Accepting donations too I bet.
If you're going to have an opinion, at least make an effort to make it an informed opinion.
66 years old with jowls. Only pic I could find so who knows what condition the rest of his body is in. I'm 53 and thin and not taking the vax but still take covid serious and have self treatment plans in place and am doing a few things for overall health to help better my chances should I get it.
Remdesivir doesn't seem to have a very good track record. Seems like this guy would have been a good candidate for the monoconials(sp?). Why does every hospital not have a supply of Regeneron? That stuff seems to work well. Ivermectin too but fat chance on that unless you happen to live in certain places, Africa, parts of India.
Zostavax was the original shingles vaccine. It came out six years before Shingrix.
Based on my incomplete knowledge, Zostavax was pulled because it provided only 50% protection, and its duration was unknown, possibly less than 5 years.
Shingrix, on the other hand, provides about 90% protection, and is believed to have long term duration.
Though eight members voted in favor of preferring Shingrix, Pellegrini and six others voted against the motion.

“Lawsuits against Merck have taken issue with the company’s warnings, claiming Merck did not properly inform them of all the side effects beyond a few minor ones such as inflammation at the base of injection or a fever.
Memos from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) show that some of these warnings were only added on much later. For example, a warning about eye inflammation was added in early 2016—nearly a decade after Zostavax was first approved by the FDA.”
Good luck at the hospital.
The fact that CDC and NIH have made no consequential efforts to create or identify a COVID therapeutic BEFORE it reaches a critical stage will be the signature policy failure of this pandemic for all time.
My bad. I thought the surname was Jewish. You are correct. It is Dutch.
The short term early adverse reactions are just the warning, the tip of the iceberg.
Kinda like you never find a girl named Christine Shapiro, eh?
Wyckoff is a Dutch name
