RE: "Henry Ford Health System to add Filipino nurses to fill shortages"

Where I used to work, we were overrun with Filipino nurses. Like there was a spigot from the Phillipines to America for nurses. Of course, it was a jail setting which you would have to be insane to want to work in. I don't trust Filipino medical training worth a lick. I believe Filipino nursing school is a free ticket to America.

Anyway, they were the most inept bunch of worthless biznatches I've ever seen pretending to be nurses (with a few exceptions).

One time, some dude in the infirmary needed emergency transport to hospital, paramedics came. One of them told one of the Filipino female nurses, "Are you a real nurse?". I almost busted out laughing on the spot, but I held it in cause I'm a professional. Haha.

Anyway, I understand Filipino nurses are everywhere now. If they become even more prevalent in the 'health care industry', look for medical care to take a big dip in this country.

That is the plan. The United States of America, including its medical system is to be destroyed. Completely. The sheep are doing everything in their power to bring this about. Tomorrow will be worse than today.

Filipino...
They are everywhere! They are in education as well, especially in special ed and in rural schools that have trouble meeting state mandated requirements.

I knew a Filipino lady who was a pharmacist in the Philippines before immigrating to the U.S. When she got to the U.S. she took the test to be licensed to practice here, failed miserably. It wasn't a language issue, her English was excellent. She had to complete two years of schooling and pass two board exams before she could work here as a pharmacist. That told me the education requirements in the Philippines were not nearly as good as the U.S.

I have known a good number of Nurses from the Philippines. Most if not all of them have seemed very competent to me.

I do not disbelieve you at all, but it seems clear to me that our mileage can vary.

One hospital that I worked at years ago actually bought a house just next door (not a city hospital, a local place in a suburb with a census of typically 225 or so.) in order to house them, because essentially those Nurses were akin to indentured servants. They were obliged to work a certain amount of years under their contractual obligations.

Most moved on to other hospitals once the contracts expired after so many years.
