Todd Garrison, the police chief in North Port, said no criminality is suspected at this time. No physical search teams are currently on the ground as investigators are working to narrow down areas to investigate, he said. "We have resources and law enforcement partners that are out in the field following up tips and leads but as far as a grid search right now, we're still trying to narrow down geographic areas," he said in a news conference Thursday.
Police have said her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, has refused to speak with law enforcement but Garrison said investigators are solely focused on finding Petito. "We share the frustration with the world right now. Two people went on a trip, one person returned and that person that returned isn't providing us with any information," Garrison said. "My focus isn't to bring Brian in right now. My focus is to find Gabby."
Her father, Joe Petito, asked the public to come forward with any information that could help investigators. "I'm asking for help from the parents of Brian and I'm asking for the help of the family members and friends of the Laundrie family as well," Petito said. "Whatever you can do to make sure my daughter comes home, I'm asking for that help. There is nothing else that matters to me now."

I agree.
She mentioned OCD. Mental condition could mean depression anxiety
She could have a personality disorder, so could he.
All we know is something went wrong, she’s missing and he isn’t.
How about Laundrie murders his girlfriend at a camp site near or around the two women's camp site so HE MURDERS THE TWO WOMEN BECAUSE HE FEARS THEY MIGHT FIND PETITO'S BODY OR CAN LATER IDENTIFY HIM AS PETITO'S MURDERER?
If I were the FBI I WOULD SEARCH FOR PETITO'S BODY WITHIN A 1 TO 2 MILE RADIUS OF WHERE THE 2 MURDERED WOMEN'S CAMP SITE WAS LOCATED!! Or check bodies of water or river near the two murdered women's camp site as well for Petito's body..
Not really. Innocent people are typically willing to talk to the police. Guilty people aren't.
Just think back to the film "Presumed Innocent". Harrison Ford is a county prosecutor who's charged with murder. During discussions with his lawyer he was advised not to testify in his defense. He disagreed with that advice...saying to his lawyer "the jury *wants* to hear me deny having done it". And he was right.
And BTW...he was,in fact,innocent...as was revealed at the end of the film.
Do you think she’s still alive? If so then why doesn’t her boyfriend say where she’s been living for the past month?
I think this is the timeline so far:
Aug. 12 - Police stop & question Laundrie & Petito after an argument at a grocery cooperative where one woman (Schulte) worked in Moab, Utah.
Aug. 13 - Two women (Schulte & Turner) last seen alive at a tavern in Moab, Utah.
Aug. 18 - Schulte & Turner’s bodies found near South Mesa, Utah.
Aug. 24 - Petito facetimes with her mom as she’s leaving a hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Aug. 25 - Petito calls her family to say she’s in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, which is on the way to Yellowstone.
Aug. 30 - Family continues to receive text messages from Petito’s phone until today, when the last text read, “No service in Yosemite.”
Sept. 1 - Laundrie returns with the van to his and Petito’s home in Florida.
Sept. 11 - Petito’s family files a missing person’s report.

Interesting. Someone around Moab isn’t so keen on hippies.
All convictions no doubt. :-^)
“All convictions no doubt. :-^)”
No. There was one case with an alleged gun violation where the police never found the imagined gun yet they adamantly wanted to put a man in prison for a non-existent firearm. It took the jury about fifteen minutes to unanimously declare the man ‘not guilty’.
One felony fraud case had us empaneled and then the judge ended up dismissing the criminal charges after *something* was discovered when the jury was out of the room. Never found out why the case was dismissed. We never even heard evidence.
The case I remember the most was 87-164 - USA v. Attarian, et al in which two grifters ran a Ponzi scheme and stole some $90 million from mostly elderly investors. They were guilty as hell and after a three month trial I ended up as jury foreman and we turned in a guilty verdict in about 90 minutes. The US Attorney in that case, Steven Lapham (now a judge) did one hell of a job connecting thousands of details together to show a deliberate pattern of fraud with clear intent.
The other cases were DUI, assault, and etc. and as I recall the verdicts were all ‘guilty’.
Yosemite to Florida in one day?
So Aug 30 Gabby and the BF were supposedly in Yosemite based on text - and its what - 2700 miles or so back to Florida? 40 hours of driving or thereabouts? So BF is back in Florida Sept 1.
You have way more experience with it than I do my friend. My 1st summons resulted in sitting on a jury. Probly because at the time I was in the employ of the DoD. That one came out as a guilty for burglary. Dude got 15 years...wasn’t his 1st rodeo. 2nd summons resulted in sitting in the jury pool all day and then got sent home. 3rd summons is sitting on my desk and is dated for 9/27.....we’ll see.
It doesn’t add-up, does it?
Also, according to Daily Mail:
Aug. 17 (the night before the 2 women’s bodies were found) - Laundries left Petito alone at the hotel in Salt Lake City and flew to Florida to help his father move his & Petito’s things from a storage unit to his father’s house.
Aug. 23 - Laundries flew back to Salt Lake City where Petito was waiting.
Bring your Bible to jury duty and do some light reading and odds are some liberal attorney will send you home.
No - it’s not adding up. This is new news about the BF flying home to FL August 17 and back to Salt Lake City Aug 23.

When police in Florida knocked on the Laundrie’s door that night, his parents handed them a lawyer’s phone number.

The “condition” was blacked out in the reporting officer’s report; however, a 2nd officer was on scene initially, then got called away. In his subsequent report, he listed “anxiety” as the ‘condition’.
Evidently, Gabby was crying, sobbing, having trouble breathing the entire time the police were talking to her. Brian had some scratches on his arm.
Podcast with some good info is “Going West” - they did an update the 15th that I saw this morning, after doing an episode with lots of good background info Sept 14th.
