NYC couldn’t care less about those cops or firemen.
I would think they are probably sympathetic to fellow New Yorkers, but...
I live in Central Kentucky near a munitions depot that stores chemical weapons (Currently in the process of being destroyed.). I've often wondered the reaction of New Yorkers if terrorists tried to break into the depot here for the purpose of stealing some of those weapons and detonating them in NY or DC. Then suppose they fail but set them off locally and killed 4,000 Central Kentuckians. Would New Yorkers give a damn? I don't think so.
The news media would come and they'd be here for a couple of days but, because no major buildings would be destroyed they'd have little to no visuals to show so they'd leave and go back to their theme of "Let's Hate Trump and other patriots", but not until they drove around town and found the worst looking house they could find and portray it as typical. Or maybe they'd find the one house that I know of where the idiot flies the Confederate battle flag but no American flag.
If NYC is attacked again I won't be making a big (to me) donation like I did in 2001.
Tell me I'm wrong.
