College course blames 'global whiteness' for attack on Pearl Harbor, Pacific War

The attack on Pearl Harbor was "Japan's attempt to roll back Euro-American colonialism."

A University of North Carolina course titled "Global Whiteness" blames the West in general and the United States in particular for Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor and the subsequent Pacific Theater battles of World War II.

Campus Reform obtained the syllabus for the course that characterizes the Pacific Theater fight as "the first global attack on white Anglo-American hegemony" and "Japan's attempt to roll back Euro-American colonialism." The course's required text is Theodore Allen's The Invention of the White Race, vol. 2: The Origin of Racial Oppression in Anglo-America. Professor Mark Driscoll's class also includes student presentations on topics like Donald Trump's racism and "interracial hookups on campus."

This is yet one more illustration of the insanity and rigid ideological control rampant on college campuses across America. Maniacal Marxist "mentors" incessantly attack the very country that lets them achieve wealth and tenure for spewing their toxic idiocy at often tragically receptive young people. The less logical and more insane the idea or claim, the better. On campuses across the U.S., professors now routinely teach that "White privilege" leads to horrible things like competence, discipline, self-control, literacy, meritocracy, politeness, and work ethic — by which they mean to excuse the opposite. Yet by attempting to legitimize incompetence, sloth, illiteracy, and rude behavior in this way, they also assign them to minorities. Can anything be more racist than that? That they usually get away with it illustrates their very real "progressive privilege."

College professors would have us believe that "global whiteness" caused 9/11, the Killing Fields, the extinction of the dinosaurs, COVID-19, Dutch Elm Disease, and the heartbreak of psoriasis.

The marxist college professor clowns up his thesis by putting it into post-historical anti-”white” racist terms, but there is an interesting question as to Japan’s motives in starting their war. Namely, did Japan feel justified that since European countries had colonies in Japan’s Asian back yard, why couldn’t Japan? It’s a question worth pondering, but what is not worth pondering are the neurotic mind spasms of a degenerate academic.

It would be funny, if it wasn't so depressing, that the pinnacle of "anti-racism" is to believe that "white people" are the only full human beings on earth, and everyone else is semi-humans reacting to "whiteness."

And that's the great paradox of this entire Marxist drivel. It is the most racist thing I've seen in my life and I grew up in the deep south of the 60s. By condemning whites for virtuous behaviors they appear to be claiming "POC" are incapable of virtue. Of course, that's the logical presumption and nothing about CRT is logical.

I think I need to read some more Voltaire.

Of course, that explains why Japan attacked China and Indochina to get rid of Europeans and Whites. That explains the over 18 million Chinese killed.

Just remember to keep sending your children to these places of ‘higher education’.

Our education system is a travesty and extremely dangerous to the existence of this nation.

Yea, sure, tell that to the Taiwanese, the Koreans, the Manchurians, the Chinese, the Filippinos, the Burmese, the people of Singapore and all the other Asians Japan occupied or attacked or bullied into cooperation with them (Thailand).

Global Whiteness caused Genghis Khan’s Mongol invasion in the 13th Century, too.

If only those Tocharians, Turkmen and Kazars hadn’t opposed him, then there would have been no reason to attack into Eastern Europe, the Middle East and China!

So did “Whitey” inspire Japan to create its biological and chemical weapons detachment Unit 731 which experimented on and killed hundreds of thousands of captured Chinese soldiers? Asians were killing and butchering each other long before Europeans ever made contact with them!

This Marxist crap prevents younger Americans from learning real history. I never saw one single Muslim in the USA since 1947 until Bush. Obama dumped 10K Somalis near Andrew Jackson’s estate here about 2-3 miles away. It was 1980 before I saw anyone from India here (a Patel who owned Motels). Nigerians were in our colleges earlier. Now Biden is dumping 60K plus Muslims on us plus illegals come in by the thousands. I see no assimilation. STOP the INVASION.

Cutting off Japan and giving them demands that were un acceptable lead to the war. We knew their every move, and we didn’t want it to look like we started the war with them. They were basically baited. The Gov’t still has documents of the last days before the attack that are still restricted and unavailable under the FOIA. We knew their intent, and we knew they were coming. It was like Afghanistan’s 13 Marines, but on a grander scale. And just like that,(Forest Gump speak) after 12 yrs, we (The white people?) found the way out of the great depression. Japan’s conquests and their refusal to give them up was the reason they went to war with us. They needed resources to feed their industries. Kinda like China today. Its not going to get better as the world population grows. The worst is yet to come.

The unsanity coming from Academia is unreal because there, apparently, are no adults for supervision anymore. All we have is outfits like this one to publicize whichever one has gotten to the top BUT imagine the multitude that are outrageous but not at the top!

Example of recent vintage and previously here on FR. Joining “the lowercase movement,” Linda Manyguns, an associate vice president of Indigenization and decolonization at Mount Royal University, announced last week that she will henceforth eschew capitalization “except to acknowledge the Indigenous struggle for recognition.” FYI: This is a Canadian institution of 'Higher Learning' (disputable).

Well, it was the 500 years of European colonial expansion that ended up conquering the world, or nearly so. This had a lot of complex effects. Vast parts of the world were conquered outright. One of the less typical effects was to prompt Japan to stop being a hermit kingdom and modernize, to become a great power, and give them ambitions to join the Europeans in the quest for foreign colonies. One could say that Japan pushed way too far.

Roosevelt exploited Japans commitments in China. Japan was in a bind. It was getting nowhere in China because the logistics were impossible and it was going broke fast. It could not disengage from China because of its domestic politics. Cutting off fuel, materials and finance meant that Japan was out of options, other than to fight its way out.
