SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA, Okla. (KFOR) – A rural Oklahoma doctor said patients who are taking the horse de-wormer medication, ivermectin, to fight COVID-19 are causing emergency room and ambulance back ups.
“There’s a reason you have to have a doctor to get a prescription for this stuff, because it can be dangerous,” said Dr. Jason McElyea.
Dr. McElyea said patients are packing his eastern and southeastern Oklahoma hospitals after taking ivermectin doses meant for a full-sized horse, because they believed false claims the horse de-wormer could fight COVID-19.
“The ERs are so backed up that gunshot victims were having hard times getting to facilities where they can get definitive care and be treated,” he said.

I don’t know, you may be giving them more credit than they deserve especially the closer you get to Texas. The lines between SE Oklahoma and E Texas are pretty blurry. Hemphill County is having similar problem according to a friend who flies into Pineland to fish. I told him he should open up a dosage consultancy.

Another take on it besides the Ivermectin BS is the 'gunshot victims' angle.
Not only did they attempt to discredit Ivermectin but they add the left's ongoing war on guns and gun owners by stating that this damn gun violence is everywhere, EVERYWHERE, not just in NYC and Chiraq but in rural Oklahoma too; just another reason to ban those 'assault weapons' and 100 round 'clips'.

.2 mg/kg X 90.72 kg = 18.14 mg of ivermectin = 16%
.4 mg/kg X 90.72 kg = 36.3 mg of ivermectin = 32%
.6 mg/kg X 90.72 kg = 54.4 mg of ivermectin = 48%
If a tube/syringe has 6 grams and that equals 113 mg of ivermectin at the density you mentioned, the percentages above should do it well for your 200 pound pet.
I saw a warning label on some to treat horses saying that animals treated with ivermectin are not suitable for human consumption. Next they will be saying it is radioactive. Yikes!
Maybe the shortages are in certain areas. I checked and saw this report from Florida:
Have you checked why the ivermectin used to treat horses is dangerous for humans? There has to be a good reason.
Why are you going through all the math? Durvet’s plunger has the dosage engraved on it. Dial in your weight, upcap the tube, put it in your mouth, squeeze the plunger, done.

Because that dosage is for deworming a horse. Different mammal, different purpose. Turns out, double the horse weight should be dialed in for covid treatment. The same weight should be dialed in for preventative/prophylaxis. I’m not using it as a preventative so I would need double the horse weight for treatment purposes.
