“They’ve been good and I’m planning on buying more.”
Appreciate it!!
I really don’t understand the allure of those freeze-dried survival food meals. You need hot water to activate them. And hot water would be a luxury in hard times.
I say go just down to your local Costco and buy a ton of regular canned food. That stuff can last for decades, and is ready to eat when you need it.
So many responses so quickly!! Thank you all so much! I appreciate the help! To all of you!
Store a few big bottles of Tabasco sauce and you can enjoy nearly ANY MRE!!!
You’ve gotta soak those buggers before you cook them!

Check out the reviews. Pretty much 5 star on everything and I’ve heard good things about them from people on other forums.
I bought a freeze dryer with the first stimulus check. I have lasagna, beef stew, chicken stew, macaroni and cheese, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, fried cabbage. I’ve freeze dried eggs, milk, and made jalapeño powder. Corn, beans, peas, and peppers. It was a great investment.
Taliban.com has MREs for sale!
Most people I know who are into canning are too old to be a threat to anybody.
Spam, chili, and rice. Beans if you want to liven things up a bit.
Get a bugout vehicle, that can carry all that food, and several gas cans.
Choose a location to bugout to.
welcome
Hot water means going outside to the rain barrel, then sticking it on a wood fire.
If you cannot put your hands on a quart of water, it heat it…you will have huge problems.
ooooh sh!t....... no doubt that’s where mot of them are!
I’ve been making a lot of beef jerky in the last year and vacuum packing it and storing it in the freezer. I just ate some I sealed a year ago and it tasted like it was made yesterday. Good stuff!!

Consider this factor - most commercial freeze-dried meals have quite a bit of sodium in them >500mg in many cases. If you are not used to eating that much salt or cannot eat that much salt it may take some getting used to when you need it.
Anyone have a tip for wrapping 5 pound sugar bags so ants wont get them
