A Republican congressman who has proposed a bill to block federal funding of the U.S. military vaccine mandate hosted a conference call with troops who warn the mandate could harm military readiness.
The service members say many of their colleagues feel the same way but are not speaking out because of the possible consequences, Breitbart News reported.
Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., has introduced HR 3860, which would prohibit "any requirement that a member of the Armed Forces receive a vaccination against COVID-19."
An Air Force member said there is "a lot of pressure from our commanders ... and they tell you these sob stories to heavily persuade you, and it's borderline harassment."
"It makes you wonder, well I joined to change my life and they're all about inclusion and diversity but I have to restart just because of the shot," he said.
He plans to leave the Air Force if he doesn't get an exemption.
"I'm not getting that shot," he said.
Another active Air Force member said he could receive a dishonorable discharge for refusing to be vaccinated.
"That's basically putting us in the same category as rapists and killers, which I think that's insane," he said.

Precisely my point.
All unions should fight back.
I tell all young men to become linemen, electricians, HVAC, crane operators, plumbers, etc.
Good money and enough work until death.
....with no long-term safety studies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And therein lies the issue.
What if ALL those who are EGT’d start getting so sick a year or two from now that they either die or can no longer function in any kind of useful way? This may sound farfetched but is it? As far as I know, the long-term studies don’t exist!
The reality is that the path that the EGT can take one is completely unknown.... and in this case, the potential outcome is the complete destruction of the military, and by extension the country.
Amazing! Praise God!
For once, I’m siding with the union guys who have the backing of the union bosses to stand up against the mandatory stab. Our neighbor is a firefighter. He got the shot but has 6 or 7 guys in the department that don’t want it and it sounds like the IAFF is going to go to bat for them. Any word out of the UAW or Teamsters? Pretty sure the postal carriers said NOPE! A friend who is a conservative college prof said his son is going to train with the IBEW. Think they are opposing the mandate. What total BS that simply saying “I don’t care to have it!” isn’t enough.
I was in IBEW for 5.5 years, and most of the guys were conservatives. Most were White, blue collar, NRA members and hunters.
IOW white suprema-cyst racis’ types. LOL! Yeah, I know better.
“I think smaller companies won’t care about a DD for vax refusal.”
Not sure about the USAF but the Navy doesn’t give DDs(maybe for murder) not even BCDs (Bad Conduct Discharge) anymore. It’s a General Discharge under other than honorable conditions!
Conscientious objectors get an honorable discharge. Anybody who refuses the shot should get the same.
Yeah, and when the military loses even a few % that are important enough cogs in the machine to seriously harm readiness and efficiency will it still be a good decision?
What if it’s 10 or 20%?
Fact is after the shit we have put up with the last few years it’s probably deserved that all of our institutions finish breaking.
I would assume the USAF is less stern than the other branches. A General or Medical is far better.
One way to weed out all those subversive white suprema-cysts and insurrectionists eh?
