Federal health agencies and officials across the country are warning people not to take ivermectin — a drug used to treat parasites in livestock — to treat and prevent COVID-19.
According to The Boston Globe, poison control centers in at least a dozen states have reported an increase in calls related to ivermectin ingestion. In an interview with CNN, Dr. Anthony Fauci said there’s no evidence it works, and that it’s more likely to cause harm.
“Don’t do it; there’s no evidence whatsoever that it works and it could potentially have toxicity… with people who have gone to poison control centers because they’ve taken the drug at a ridiculous dose and wind up getting sick,” he said. “There’s no clinical evidence that indicates that this works.”
Dr. Megan Ranney, a professor of emergency medicine at Brown University, told CNN that vaccines and monoclonal antibodies are the only confirmed methods of preventing COVID-19. Ivermectin, she said, is not a “miracle cure.”
“I want to be really clear, there is no data supporting that ivermectin prevents or cures COVID-19,” she said. “Unfortunately, the promotion for this drug has spread like wildfire among conspiracy theorists and people who are out to make a profit and we’re seeing people buy it from vets and take it themselves with really serious consequences. Another example of the very real harm of misinformation.”
Ivermectin first received attention last year when a study showed that ivermectin inhibited the replication of COVID-19 “in vitro,” or in a laboratory setting. In April 2020, the FDA wrote that the type of study was “commonly used in the early stages of drug development” and that ivermectin was not given to people or animals.

The fact Fauci has *never* acknowledged naturally acquired immunity, as a result of getting and recovering from Covid, shows how corrupt he is. He’ll say anything to protect Big Pharma.
Just last wk when I had some of the covid symptoms my doc immediately put me on a covid regimen including Ivermectin, z-pac, zinc, c and d. pcr test results showed negative for covid. I do like my new feed bag tho ;-)

There are idiots in any population. That said, I highly doubt there are “a lot” of people self-administering it in horse quantities. Do you have any sort of back up on that?
A few, maybe, even likely. But not a lot.
I had BatFlu and didn’t need anything but two advil one time.
What is missing in the narrative here is that there is a pharmaceutical version of Ivermectin designed for human intake, different from the veterinary formulation available at the local feed store. Yes, self-medicating with horse paste will cause problems in the general public, panicked with the idea of being intubated and left to die alone in an ICU bed, and getting the dosage wrong. But there is a world of difference between those two things.
And as for no peer-reviewed study on the effectivity of Ivermectin despite the number of success stories especially from India, where is the peer-reviewed completed phase 3 trial data for the jab?

Well, maybe they do not have any positive effect (I think they do, based on quite a lot of evidence), but high doses of C-vitamin is not a panacea either, and still I do not see the authorities warning us from taking vitamin C.

Well, good news Dr. Fauchi, the papers are also in ENGLISH...but then you knew that.

It should be noted that the second person started when she was well along with the virus because she was rejected from monoclonal antibodies, because she wasn’t ‘high risk’ enough for them.
