I read her bio and found nothing to suggest she lived the wretched life you describe. She was apparently a substitute teacher in the Little Rock public school system for 14 years - which really surprised me.

Apparently she willingly chose her "sex, drugs and rock and roll" lifestyle and only she can answer whether it was all worth it or not. Men who choose that lifestyle tend not to be as harshly judged. But in order for men to have that lifestyle, you must also have willing women.

Her interview on Stern years ago was GREAT! She definitely “kissed” and told. Howard (tactful as ever), asked her about the ends of the scale. She said the top end was Huey Lewis. And the bottom end was Peter Frampton. Howard:”Well, that was the 70’s, and everyone was on drugs. Is there a chance that the drugs had an impact?” Connie:”No, I lived with him on his tour bus for a month!”.

I took it to imply that she started earlier since she said her first was the drummer of Steppenwolf and she said she was 15 when she went to that show.

Who know, who cares? She made her choices. I don't see that being drugged and passed around like a piece of meat, ending up hanging out at venues to give BJs at 55 is a notoriety one should be proud of. The lifestyle was brutal. I'm very surprised she made it to 66.

No children mentioned. I hope so. Be a hell of a thing for a kid to have a mother well known for that.
