Re: Vaccines...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, now they are considering equating being unvaccinated to assault...
(snip) Dr. Dan Bustillos, a medical law and ethics expert, teaches at the University of Washington Bothell.
“I totally understand the impulse of not want the government to intervene in our personal actions and behaviors. I think that’s a good impulse. I think it’s very American,” Bustillos said.
“But because of the nature of pandemics and epidemics, vaccination isn’t just about you protecting yourself or taking on the risks of a vaccine. It is about protecting the public and those who can’t be vaccinated for various reasons,” he said.
Bustillos points out we live in a country where there is a limit to our personal freedoms. On the extreme example — laws aim to stop crime. You are not free to assault someone because that’s what you wanted to do with your body.
“In this case, it would basically be saying that people have an individual liberty to get infected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and communicate it to others. And clearly, people don’t have that liberty and never did in the U.S.,” Bustillos said.
...“All of our freedoms can be abridged and, arguably, should be abridged when they interfere with other people’s rights,” Bustillos said. “That’s just part of living in a society. We have to respect others, and we can’t go around harming others,” he said.
What a piece of nauseating garbage. 🤮
The real assault is what they are doing to people including the freakin’ jab. Every thing they are doing is causing more harm than good.
The stupid Faux Vax is totally worthless. It doesn’t have the part that is most useful for prevention. It has the spike-most useful for toxicity.
It doesn’t prevent infection.
It doesn’t prevent transmission.
It does reduce symptoms, so that people don’t know they are sick, and so they go out and infect others.
So basically the Faux Vax turns the injected into super spreaders—if they are lucky enough to survive the clot shot.
Yes, they do.
Who is this idiot and why is he a “Constitutional” scholar or somewhat?
Getting sick is a 1st Amendment right, given by God.
My, this man’s a Communist (”It is about protecting the public”; the commune).
What’s his Chinese nickname?
Sum Dum Phoc?
But he likely supports no penalties for people infecting others with STDs like HIV via blood donations (and of course having sex with them and not informing them of what they have).
He’s wrong. Courts have looked into the statistical probability of HIV transmission to overturn or reduce criminal sentences resulting from prosecutions. For example, on 23 February, 2015, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces reversed the aggravated assault conviction of Technical Sergeant David Gutierrez upon determining that the risk of HIV transmission through sexual intercourse was “not likely to produce death or grievous bodily harm” under the applicable statute.
The same standard of the statistical probability of an unjabbed person transmitting covid would have to be applied before an assault charge could be made. Further, with appropriate early-stage treatments, it would be hard to prove being unjabbed would likely produce death or grievous bodily harm. The last thing the left wants is to have a court case where we get to talk at length about all the early treatments for covid.
I hate to waste my time addressing the ramblings of dyed-in-the-wool leftards, but I couldn’t let this one go with the easy HIV parallels.
