A) From colleague Kelly Phares. GOP PA Sen Toomey tried to get clearance for his cryptocurrency amdt on the floor. But was blocked on the flr. GOP AL Sen Shelby wanted to include his amdt to hike defense spending. But Sanders objected to both amdts.
B) Dem DE Sen Carper tried to get cryptocurrency added again. But couldn't get an agreement to do so. In short, the modifying cryptocurrency amdt was not adopted. Doubtful new language will be added before final passage.

What an a**hole...
Where are all the GOP fluffers to remind us how important it is to re-elect Assistant Democrats?
He is retiring (thankfully).
While public is intentionally distracted from the Trojan Horse truth about the 2,700 pages of the bill, by the RINOS and the Dims, NOTHING is said by the RINOS about that Trojan Horse, all the political pretense is merely about the $ size of the bill and how much it will or won’t add to the deficit. All of that is MINOR next to the Left’s many Trojan Horse agendas in the bill.
Hopefully Rand Paul will have his say and he will point this out.
Stay tuned...

What is the proposed Crypto Amendment ?
Fifty billion more in military spending ? For what ? More sex change operations for trannies ?
At least defense is something they are supposed to be doing.
Most of the boodoggle is for things it should not be doing.
We need it stopped, not pointed out.
Why spend money on the military when we’re not even at war. What an IDIOT!!!
I believe the language in the bill taxes crypto currency exchanges or something and the industry is very upset about it.
I dont know much about it but it’s massive online and the senators phones will be melting down.
They came up with a compromise but can’t get it added thanks to Shelby objecting.
I remember when $50 billion was big money.
Rand can’t stop it.. But he said he would make a point of order and get them on record suspending the Senate budget rules.
I dont know when this will happen if at all.
At least defense is something they are supposed to be doing.

If we were merely concerned with defending the country, our spending would be reasonable. But when your goal is to cram corporatism down the throats of the nations around the globe, the military requirements are much more grand.

As Churchill said, the time to defeat the Nazis happens before you fire a single weapon. If not for him, the British wouldn’t have even had the Spitfire, which went on to keep the English skies free of the Luftwaffe.
We have a very militaristic China on the near horizon.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

They are preparing for the war on US.
I have to disagree. We spent the last 20 years fighting a series of guerrilla wars against tribesmen and insurgents WITHOUT an Air Force or Navy.
We are actually unprepared.
Now is the time to be developing new weapons and tactics against adversarial nations with more robust militaries. China, Russia and Iran come to mind.
This was Trump’s actual goal—not to be pissing it away in some shithole, but be ready so the real bad guys don’t get too froggy.
Biden’s presidency is throwing that to the winds.
Let’s hope the whole thing disintegrates by the time it gets to the House. I haven’t been keeping up the whole damn thing is so depressing. Did they add money for new IRS revenue agents so small businesses can be targeted?
There is blood in the water and now we have a feeding frenzy.
