I was just reminiscing over palmtops, becuase in some limited ways, they had their charm over cellphones and I found a site where you can still buy a modernized one.
What advantage do you find over modern cellphones?
I use a Samsung Tab A tablet as a phone, book, browser, work tool for statistics, music player, video, etc. Have done so for two years and pretty happy with it
Public Displays of Affection?
Planetary Digest Association?
OP is obviously talking about making out on top of a palm tree.
Sounds dangerous.
I like the simplicity of it. Not that the modern cell phone is difficult to use, but’s nice to have a device in my pocket that can only do a couple of things, but does them really well.
Definitely had charm. Prolly still have one.
My colleagues were pretty good using it, but my inferior memory was far more convenient — that and the paper business cards ;)
I remember the stylus with the ridge.
My Galaxy Note 9 still does a great job and I feel no great need to upgrade.
Looks like a combination of a phone and small Linux-powered laptop - not unlike the Nokia Communicator or N900.
I know you are joking, but for some who may not know: “Personal Digital Assistant”...
I remember thinking, “How cool would it be if my Palm Pilot could actually dial the number for me?...”
Now the question is, “How rich would I be if I had followed that question and helped develop something?”
