Have any of you seen the Rolling Stones in the last 10 years?

They still bring it. Every show. All night.

They have a repertoire of over 300 songs ready every tour.

They actually played in Poland in 1967, and nearly caused a riot.

The Stones might be the greatest Rock & Roll band in the world but The Who were the greatest live Rock & Roll band in the world

Zeppelin: greatest band ever, live or in studio. After Bonham died, had the class to end the band when they could have hired Phil Collins and continued to cash in for decades. Zeppelin went out like James Dean. The Stones and The Who are going out like Marlon Brando.

You got to love Ireland. At the end of the video the mob took over the stage.

We’re all entitled to our opinion but The Grateful Dead used to put on the greatest live shows in their hey day.

There is a difference
Stones rock and roll

Zep rock

Both best

Don’t laugh I know they were derided over hard rock Grammy by asshole Lars

But Jethro Tull....late 71 early 72 aqualung and early cuts from Thick as a Brick ....in stereo concert....was nest performed show and being born in 1957 I have seen everyone

Even Hendrix and even Dead with Pig...an out of it Pig admittedly ....they died with him in my view ...or my taste that is

I also like the Who

Pink Floyd had great shows

As did Skynyrd.and ZZ Top

And Yes..

If nothing but a 30-40 minutes Starship Trooper

I also saw david Bowie jump onstage with Depeche Mode at the China club...while Cher had dumped Matt Dillon and had her tongue down my best buds throat ...he said she smelled..fwiw

And I I saw the allman bros at the oar house on the beach at Bradenton beach in 1977....to a crowd of fifty literally on the beach.....

Watched Bobby Whitlock , Jim Dickinson and Tracy Nelson and Coon Elder impromptu gig in a hotel room on Oxford Miss

Sticky Fingers was the last album that was worth anything. From their beginnings up until Gimme Shelter there were none better.

But today when remembering them I'm reminded of one of Letterman's Top Ten Lists from the 90s..."Top Ten Names For The Stones' Latest Tour"

Number 7 was "Hey,you, get off of my Barcalounger!"

One of my first concerts was YES “in the round”, with Wakeman, in their prime. Helluva show. The ‘80s iteration of the band wasn’t my thing. Always had top notch bass playing (Squire) and drumming though.

Man, you saw Jimi? Damn cool.
