Must have been hiding under a rock on a deserted Island with no communication available to believe the PCR test was reliable for diagnosis.🤣
Mullis himself said that the test was lousy for diagnosis, but a great tool for research/study.
(What we don’t know is what he might have said about its use with regard to an engineered recombinant virus.)
