I took my nephew, Devon, to the hospital Sunday night, and we found that he has a serious case of Covid lung (Dr's words). He had been resting as comfortably as can be expected. Alert, responsive and aware of what was happening. He was using a BIPAP machine with a full face mask, and doing better. Until this morning.
He apparently was struggling to breath more, so the Dr intubated him, and he is now has a ventilator breathing for him. I am praying that this will oxygenate his body sufficiently while it fights off the infection.
Does anyone know current info on survival of Covid patients once intubated these days in mid-2021? It has to better for people with no co-mordities.
Yep. Criminal that they are still not giving the cheap and effective early treatments.
Meanwhile, please, everyone, keep up on your vitamin D and C, zinc, etc. Then don’t just passively ignore early treatment. Be proactive with any early symptoms!
Two comments: Intubation is not a death warrant, especially in one so young and healthy. There’s room for hope - prayers up! Also, I believe my dad was given the same treatment (Remdisivir). Caused him to be uncharacteristically emotional until he got through the treatment - just a heads up.
survival is better than it was and in his age group is even better. There is a drug called tociluzimab that has recently gained an indication in severe covid - i assume he is getting it but I would ask. There are some contraindications but most are a candidate for it. I will add him to my prayer list. Hang in there
“A little silver kills all viruses and bacteria”
So does rubbing alcohol
FATHER GOD,
We plead the blood of JESUS CHRIST over Deven’s lungs and immune system. May HOLY SPIRIT breathe new life into every cell of his body.
We rebuke and speak to COVID-19 in JESUS NAME and command it to leave. By JESUS stripes we were healed.
To GOD be the glory.
In JESUS NAME we pray. AMEN.
Prayers up for his complete healing, guidance for his doctors and comfort to him, his friends and family.

PRAYERS UP
My sister went through the same thing but they caught it pretty early and went by ambulance. They sent her to the Covid hospital and she pulled through but didn’t need a ventilator. She was not vaxxed.
I just got over Delta but I had Moderna in April so basically a mild cold/cough and a bad sore throat.
This whole thing is so frustrating. Early on, the supplies of the monoclonal antibodies were so limited that it was hard to get unless you were old and sick.
I think that the supplies have loosened up now, but still there are people like this man who obviously would have benefited in hindsight from them during the viral phase of the disease, and is now on a ventilator. Terrible.
There are those on this board who (rightly) urge early use of Regeneron’s REGN-COV2 or Lilly’s bamlanivimab, but the FDA still requires that the patient have a positive antigen test, and be at high risk of progressing to more serious disease. So what are we left with? Stay home and you’ll probably get better on your own, which is true in the vast majority of cases, but not always, as we see here.
The entire public health response has been a complete disaster, and appears to be solely directed at whatever political gain the Democrat party can extract from the situation.
Urgent prayer needed for Jimtorr’s nephew.
He should have immediately been given HCQ, zinc and a zpak. I’d be asking some hard questions. I’m really sorry your nephew is so sick. Its criminal that they did not give him Proven medication.
Prayers for Devon.
“Stay home and you’ll probably get better on your own”
We are seeing problems with patients ignoring all orders at home. They won’t take their meds or hydrate, no pronation. The family begs the hospital to take them so they will live.
I don’t understand people.
“Drink water or you will die”
“No. I don’t like water. “
I thought HCQ was a preventative. You took it to keep from getting Covid.
a good and effective protocol is the iodine protocol. Iodine (in a ratio of iodine to iodide), magnesium, salt, vitamin C and selenium.
You can’t absorb your other nutrients if you’re insufficient in magnesium
It is neither at least with any high degree of efficacy. Early on the treatment of choice is monoclonal antibodies. Once hospitalized it is decadron and remdesivir with tociluzimab for more severe disease. But the armchair quarterbacks armed with google know it all…..
No! It does not. Unless you drink a gallon per day instead of a tbls maybe over time. Who does that? I take silver all the time instead of antibiotics. Works great!
Its both.
“pronation”??
Yes, all good additional supplements, in moderate quantities (e.g., likely no more salt than eaten in food). Some special iodine cases, such as with some thyroid conditions.
