"American Pickers" star Frank Fritz is getting candid about his relationship with co-host Mike Wolfe.
The popular History Channel reality series, which premiered in 2010, chronicles the adventures of the pickers as they travel across the country in hopes of finding and rescuing prized objects with stories deeply rooted in American history. Danielle Colby provides much-needed assistance when the two minds find themselves in comedic binds along the way.
But the friendship between the beloved duo has been strained. Fritz recently told The Sun that he has left the series and is no longer in touch with Wolfe, 57.
"I haven’t talked to Mike in two years," the 55-year-old told the outlet. "He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is."

Fritz admitted that it would be difficult to "put the show on after not talking to somebody for two years."
"I think Mike wants to get his brother Robbie in there to replace me," Fritz claimed. "I don’t know why he’s behaving like that towards me. You couldn’t just stick two people in a van and get the chemistry you get from me and Mike. We’ve known each other for about 40 years. We can finish each other’s sentences. When everybody is getting along and there’s no drama, me and him are very good together."

It was a good show and those two were great together. Frank started having a hard time traveling in the van as I remember. His back was acting up.
All reality TV shows are at least somewhat scripted. The experts on Antiques Roadshow have had quite a bit of time to research an item before they come on and give their opinion. I knew someone years ago who had been on it, and she said they have several hours.
You actually think those people are getting ripped off? LOLOLOL. So you think it is real. (FacePalm)
They do a show. The people they “visit” are scripted. They are scripted. The whole thing is make believe. It is somewhat entertaining. Some people are to dumb to realize this and scream at the TV that you are getting ripped off or paying way too much. That is the emotions the show is designed to evoke.
Hopefully you will watch with that perspective in future.
(two guys with no tech skills put together a whole show with good production values and fluid multicam shots with perfect audio with the overfly drone shots of the trucks and synced to talking back to base camp or pretending to talk to an “expert”) = (professional wrestling is 100% real)
Chumlee was walking with a ball and chain and the camera focused on a glass display case. It was no surprise when he “accidentally” dropped the ball through the case.
We live in Natchez, MS.
Mike Wolfe comes to town every now and again. People here who have met him think he is a nice guy.
He will go to People’s Homes and buy items or he lets them know what he thinks things are worth.
He moved to Nashville TN and runs his Store there. I thought Frank was running their Store in Iowa. Guess not...
Well we watched it for years and loved Mike and Frank but got to the point that we could not stand Danielle. She’s a legend in her own wacky world.....jmho. I really don’t care if I ever see it again.
She’s a legend in her own wacky world AND MIND
For a while I got into buying / selling guitars. Got very good at knowing which one of certain specific models were valuable or would be based on trends. I didn't try to know everthing about everything, I focused particularly on Gibson SGs and then a couple of others very niche models like early '80s stratocasters. Knew them like theback of my hand and could find ones that were underpriced and then clean them up, repair as needed, and flip for maybe $200 profit. Not trying to get rich here. Made some good beer money for a side gig and got to play some cool old guitars I'd otherwise never have owned. The key is knowing which ones still have original parts and are desirable to regular guys (not collectors). I taught myself to do that. Otherwise you'll go broke.
But the market is insane now. It's in a bubble. I think it's due to aging baby boomers and GenX guys who can afford to have their dream guitars and will pay up. I got out, the prices are just too much for me to pick the ones out that still have some room.
They actually rolled into our farm market years ago( no cameras). My wife, who runs Cervenka farm market, was too busy to find her brother for a tour. She regrets it to this day.
I don’t like Mike or Frank. The show got old.
Rule one in all business transactions
I seriously doubt you are a “dumb hick” but you sure did buy into the hot buttons the show aims to push and they spanked you good.
What item got you pissed? (I have rolled my eyes on stuff I knew the secondary market pricing of)
I can remember when the show started, Mike would about pee his pants when he screwed someone over.
Too much ink and she dresses like a rodeo clown.
I’m so glad you said that. My sentiments exactly. Her whole persona is so “look at me, I’m so smart” as well as dripping with sweetness to the point of a diabetic coma. She’s wacky is what she is.......
Besides the high price of cable, one of the reasons I cancelled cable several years ago was because the History channel was running American Pickers and Pawn Stars what seemed like 24/7.
On Danielle - burlesque dancer and Roller Derby, maybe identifies from where she got her penchant for tattoos.
As I said, I actually like her personality; I just don’t like watching her. For myself, I figure I am leaving this world with my body as G-d gave it to me, just worn a little.
