During their pandemic they were mostly empty
Fake news.
They aren’t.
Have several friends who work at a few and it’s all BS.
Remember the Hospital Ship Trump sent to NY , nuffin
A few months ago the news was telling us here in Ontario that mobile hospital units were being erected around some local hospitals to handle the covid patients expected. A couple of weeks ago, without the same fanfare, these temporary units were dismantled and removed, having NEVER been used.
Some things to keep in mind...
Empty beds cost money, so hospitals have shed beds and occupancy rates now tend to be higher anyway.
Are people hospitalized with or for CoupFlu?
Are they in an ICU setting?
What do the states’ CoupFlu dashboards say about occupancy?
Finally, stats are crap until proven otherwise.
That is all. :-)
Community Medical is located in Ocean County, NJ which has a very large senior citizen population which comprised a large part of our patient population and in answer to your question, no. We are not busting out at the seems or over loaded with patients. Last years at this time, at the height of the pandemic we did have a huge caseload but it was not a crisis.
Today, thank God things have returned to about 95 % normal patient load and no there are not ‘’bodies everywhere’’.
This is fear mongering on the part of Democrats to keep the fear going as long as possible in the hope that the midterms in 2022 can be done by mail in ballot giving the Dems more chances to cheat.
Drive by some Hospitals and check the parking lots
Here in MN, according to the Minnesota Department of Health, on 7/17 there were 0 patients in ICU and 1 admitted into a hospital. Media is full of BS as usual.
Parts of Florida, Missouri and Arkansas were getting more Covid cases based on research I did a few days ago.
This disease is no joke. True that we really do not understand who is or is not susceptible. But if you are and this virus affects your lower respiratory tract, you are in bad trouble. This delta variant seems to be more communicable. If you receive the vaccine it is not likely you will become seriously ill from COVID. For what its worth if you are over 40 or have an underlying medical condition, despite some of the known and unknown risks of the vaccine, you are in harms way if you are not vaccinated.
Don’t know about bed counts but at Penn here in philly they have opened up to almost normal still masked up.
Throughout this pandemic, I have known people who have known people who have known or had in their families nurses.
What I am going to say is anecdotal, but maybe it comports with some people’s experiences.
Anyway, these people were admitted to the hospital with Covid, supposedly, for a short period of time. The ones who were nurses did not understand why given their “stats.”
A couple were put in ICU for a 12-hour observation. Again, the nurses did not understand why given their “stats.”
Here’s my understanding about the hospitals in Tallahassee. Due to the law forcing them to treat special groups for free, they started selling off their bed space to individual practices that have control over who they treat. My understanding is the actual “hospital” owned bed space is minimal now. If you come into the emergency room and you aren’t one of the protected classes who get treated free, they can charge anything they want. Florida countered by making it so, okay, they charged a million dollars, as long as you’re paying a few bucks every month, they can’t do anything. I had a friend who paid $20 a month. When they called, as they periodically do, demanding full payment, he negotiated a smaller total and they took it.
The problem is not that some people don’t have insurance. The problem is that some people do. Those people pay less and the insurance pays more. But, in several incidents, I paid cash which turned out to be less than my deductible. Also, when the Urologist’s scheduler found out I was paying cash, it went from an appointment six months out to, “Can you be here at 10 o’clock Friday?
Whether the hospitals are full or not is probably not a good indicator of the real situation. Their “fullness” is not driven by actual bed count.
Remember when Elon Musk, with his typical fanfare, declared he was re-tooling one of his car plants to making ventilators?
That kind of sums up the whole Covid era for me.
I listened to a vid (Ann Barnhardt podcast) with a nurse (anesthesia ER) and a doc who said their ICUs are not full, but....they’re seeing an uptick in shot related adverse effects.....such as cardio, neurological and thrombosis type ailments.
Haven’t you noticed all the bodies stacked up like cord wood, lining the streets?
Man, it’s horrific, the apocalypse, the end of days.
Game over!
At least, that’s how it sounds according to the presstitutes.
A friend of mines wife is a RN who told me they get more fentanyl overdoses than anything else. Where does fentanyl come from? China who sends it to Mexico where it is brought across our wide open border thanks to a criminal that Republicans refuse to impeach.
