I had an appointment yesterday with my PCP, whose practice has been subsumed by a large medical group. The nurse and I got into a quiet discussion when I told her why I am not getting the shot. She has the same objections, but she is concerned because all of the employees of the system have been told that they are to get the shot by 1 SEP or be subjected to weekly testing.

My PCP is the medical director of the local health center. He got the shot, partly because he felt he should set an example for the employees. Also he has quite a few co-morbidities. So his risk from the RONA was high enough he thought to risk it.
He is afraid that a mandate is coming, which he doesn’t support. However, the center receives a lot of money from the Federal program for underserved communities, and I know the CEO won’t have much backbone to argue with the Feds. if that order comes.
