TWA 800: 25 Years of Deep State Deception
American Thinker.com ^ | July 14, 2021 | Jack Cashill

Posted on 07/14/2021 3:11:38 AM PDT by Kaslin

On July 17, 1996, TWA Flight 800, a Paris-bound 747 out of JFK, blew up off the coast of Long Island. It seemed somehow fitting that James Kallstrom, the public face of the FBI investigation into the plane's destruction, would die two weeks before the 25th anniversary. As a patriot, a Vietnam vet, and an outspoken critic of all things Clinton, Kallstrom once held promise as the insider most likely to come clean. He never did.

As to my own involvement with this story, until the evening of February 23, 2000, I was as naïve as a CNN anchor. Before that evening, I would have dismissed out of hand anyone who dared suggest that elements of the FBI and CIA would conspire with the White House and the New York Times to cover-up the cause of so public a disaster.

February 23, 2000 was the night my education began.

Earlier that evening I had listened with some interest at a Kansas City country club as investigative reporter James Sanders spoke about his inquiry into the 747's fate. At a dinner afterwards, I found myself sitting next to James's wife, Elizabeth. A sweet and soft-spoken woman of Philippine descent, she filled me in on the personal details. At the time of the disaster, she was a trainer for TWA. She had been a flight attendant for some years before that.

Of the 230 people killed on that ill-fated flight, 53 were TWA employees, many of them Elizabeth's friends. At one of the numerous memorial services, Elizabeth introduced James to Terry Stacey, a 747 manager and pilot who was working on the investigation.

A rather bizarre comparison to say the least.
The article forgets to mention: The disclosures were legal under wartime legislation.

The Census Bureau helped lobby Congress to pass the Second War Powers Act in March 1942, authorizing census data to be shared with other government agencies “for use in connection with the conduct of war.” The provision expired in 1947.

The Bureau denied its role for decades despite scholarly evidence to the contrary.

Bottom line is that it was known, just denied until recently.

"Conspiracy theorists seem to think that if one or more particular parts of the standard story/official explanation is incorrect, it automatically proves the entire alternative "

And that no matter how reality or other facts do not turn out to conflate with their scenario then it can be made to conform to it, even thru centuries. There is, however, a conspiracy of spirit, of mind among the Left, and that does to various degrees contrive and coordinate in groups to obtain power, but the vast odds-defying endless deep conspiracy such as this one defies objectivity.

Oh, I don’t know much about airplane windows... I just wondered what that little hole was for long ago. (I always request the window seat.) That’s the only reason I know it’s cabin pressure between the two structural windows.

Well, yeah, that’s getting way out of my area of expertise. My main objection in this thread and the ones like it was the errant USN missile and cover up theory. That is something I find utterly unbelievable. I’m just beating a dead horse now.

"Who did the missile belong to?..

A very very good question. I don't know. The religion of peace were prime suspects. But that could have been misinformation. It is reasonably certain the CIA knows since they were responsible for conjuring up the fake "Zoom-Climb" story to discredit the (200) witnesses on the ground. Let that sink in for a moment.. Why in the blazes is it necessary for the CIA to get their dirty mitts on an air crash report?

Not likely a Navy missile for the reasons already listed. Also, assuming it was a Navy accident... Clinton Inc. would have wasted no time pointing the finger. They loathed the military. Remember back to this era. The consensus was to take money from defense and spend it on do-gooder projects for leftists. I think they called it the "Peace Dividend".

"..You seem very sure of your statement"

I think it is safe to assume a missile was fired. Too many witnesses. Too much shrapnel damage to the plane and bodies. Not likely the fuel tank was the culprit. (Your car has live electrical circuits INSIDE and outside the fuel tank. Seen any cars blow up on the road?)

Sorry for the slow reply. I got busy this morning and finally got a chance to catch my breath.

“I very much doubt there is vacuum in-between two window panes unless they are very small. At 15 pounds per square inch, a window would shatter unless it’s very thick, or very small.“

It depends on the vacuum level and the pressure units. 15 psia is roughly atmospheric pressure. I’ll assume you’re talking psig, where atm. Pressure is 0 psig.

In home windows, such as Andersen, you can have vacuum, not necessarily full vacuum to control the thickness (weight, etc..)

Now, there are plexiglass and acrylics that can take much more than 15 psig. We’re talking hundreds and thousands psi.

Of course depending on the thickness, you can match to applications and how severe the service is (temp.& press.)

Thanks for your response.

Early on it was denied that any of our Naval forces were
operating in the area that night.

Later it was revealed that wasn’t true.

I can’t say for sure they were operating directly under the
flight, but they were in the vicinity, once denied.

I don’t know if a new device was being evaluated, or if
private contractors may have been involved. All I know is
that something was going on not too far away, and perhaps
right there.

I don’t make concrete claims on the Naval forces. I don’t
pretend to know all the dynamics of what was taking place.

I can say that if a private contractor was involved, they
wouldn’t spill the beans.

I’d rather be discussing what a sad mistake was made than
have to rehash this haunting issue for decades.

I don’t like being lied to by people I should every right
to be able to trust.

A mile here and there, no problem?
Sorry, can’t agree.
Having shot missiles over a career, over land and water, a mile or two is very much important and if your shot went outside the area, hell to pay.

Cheers and good night.

And you know this how?

It seems to me that you are acknowledging this sometimes happens.

If I may say, this can never happen in a nitrogen-padded fuel tank, in inert atmosphere (no oxygen.) I wrote to Boeing at the time inquiring about the subject, I got no answer, however, I still assume that a nitrogen pad is in place.

That system was developed at Parker Hannifin in the mid 70s. to the best of my (in this case rather limited) knowledge it was never adopted for commercial airlines.

Cumulative over the 7 years? I thought lunar and solar calendars had a much larger mismatch.

Thanks, Nully.

This is quite dangerous. The damn n2 pad system can fit in a closet and cost nothing compared to the cost of lawsuits in one crash!

Nobody even talked about live saved!

BTW, the Islamic calendar year recedes 11 days a year from ours. IOW, it’s 11 days shorter.

I didn’t get the ‘7-year accumulation.

I agree, I spent 3+ years aboard Navy ships, and nothing stays secret for long among a ships crew. Especially in terms of using firepower.
If a US Navy ship had brought down Flt 800, word would be out hours after that ship docked.

My dad worked on that system. He had some very bitter things to say after FLT 800.

11 days per solar year, but don’t they also stick in an extra month when the lunar calendar gets too far out of sync with the seasons?

You want a real mess? Look at the old Roman calendars! There were three months in the winter that weren’t on the calendar at all! Ten day weeks, one day of weekend

3 July 1998 = 19 Du al Qadah (11th month) 1408
17 July 1996 = 1 Rabi al Awwal (3rd month) 1470

IOW, not an anniversary...
