A Connecticut teen has been charged with computer crimes after police say he hacked into his school's database and referenced a quote from Adolf Hitler in a high school yearbook.
Hollister Tryon, 18, was a student at Glastonbury High School, where the quote appeared in May beneath the photo of an unsuspecting classmate, police said.
It read, 'It is a quite special secret pleasure how the people around us fail to realize what is really happening to them.'
The quote was attributed in the yearbook to George Floyd, the Black man killed by Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin last May.
The quotes were discovered in May after the school began distributing the yearbooks.
The school later recalled the yearbooks to remove the offending quotes.
Police said Tyron was also responsible for another unauthorized yearbook entry, which referenced one of the Boston Marathon bombers and drug use.
In an email to the school community, Glastonbury principle, Dr. Nancy E. Bean said the school is 'saddened' and 'distressed' by the incident and condemns all acts of violence.
'Acts of bias, bullying, and cruelty are not acceptable at out school,' Bean wrote. 'We are committed to to ensuring all Glastonbury High School students feel safe and supported.'
He is accused of unlawfully accessing a computer database students used to submit their yearbook quotes, changing the two students' quotes prior to publication of the yearbook in October 2020.
His bond was set at $5,000.

Practicing hacking for possible future heist? Interesting though about his face.
Chapter, hell! They will write a new bible in his name.
Words are not violence. To hell with every lying leftist.
I’ve been observing different shaped heads, eyes and other features distinct between races and nationalities...just out of curiosity. This has been interesting as there are general distinctions. Certainly not to differentiate ones brain function...as once was.
The furor of “The Fuhrer”
Very good play on words! I almost missed it.
Glastonbury High School is where Laura Ingraham went to high school.
Certainly it’s vandalism, but whether it’s racist, anti-semitic and all the rest is less clear.
Books with misprints or pages in the wrong order get pulped all the time. It's not like this was some timeless document. But in any case, the police and the lawyers have probably saved a few copies as evidence.
I just find it hilarious that anyone would believe for a second that George Floyd wrote anything that literate (do I really have to add the obligatory disclaimer that Hitler was evil? I’m just referring to the phrasing of the quote).

And why is black capitalized?
“””””””””””””””””””””””””””””
Lots of F.R.
members doing it too.
I think it was a brilliant act of guerilla theater.
I will do it as long as I can be White. \s
It’s amazing to see how fast the FBI went into action and arrested the teen! Probably 100 agents and hours of OT to get this perpetrator!
Why was George Floyd in a HS yearbook?
Sure - the difference here is the word “recall”. That doesn’t happen very often if at all.
you dare not tamper with anything regarding Saint George Floyd, our national hero. If he had attributed the quote to Trump the school probably would have ordered more yearbooks.
Plenty of blame to go around in this article. The author actually misquoted the quote the young scofflaw embedded in the annual.
Then, the principal sent out a community-wide email she obviously didn’t proof: “...Bean wrote. ‘We are committed to to ensuring all Glastonbury High School students feel safe and supported.’”.
Dollars to donuts the NSA has a job waiting for the kid upon his release.
