HI all, My family has all been diagnosed with Covid and all very sick.
I started everyone on the protocol by EVMS which says to take a dose on day 1 and day 3. Unfortunately, on day 6 we are all still very sick. Should I restart the Ivermectin?
Drbeen is a treasure.
Only some infusion centers are giving it and they are following isolation precautions
Got to preserve the priesthood. I don't blame him/her.
It looks like a desperate situation. I think there has been great progress in treating COVID patients since the pandemic started. American doctors have connection with medical systems around the world and new information is coming in continuously. I wish your son well and success in his fight.
I bring up this example because it illustrates how medical innovation can come from unusual places. I just saw a NOVA presentation on PBS about a man who had stage 4 cancer of the lungs that had progressed to his other organs. He had weeks to live. He found out about a lung cancer vaccine that was having success in Cuba (evidentially lung cancer was big in Cuba from the tobacco use). He flew over and got the vaccine. Every few months he had to fly back to Cuba for another injection. The cancer receded and it bought him a few more years of life. Now there are clinical trials with a mRNA vaccines for Metastatic Melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer and Pancreatic Cancer. Medical science is just zipping along with warp speed (warp speed going to another star is another conversation).
That’s good to know. The isolation protocol has been found. Now antibody infusions can be a big piece of the therapeutic fight against the Chinese dragon.
I don’t seek health advice from government.
But you will accept health advice from these guys:
We are descending into a third world country.
Find a new doctor who doesn’t throw up his hands.
They can’t admit him if he refuses and they can’t give him any treatment or procedure that he refuses. You are 100% in control of your own body, even in a hospital. This is something often missed by patients, particularly pregnant women who want a minimal intervention childbirth but believe they’re under the control of the hospital. Not true at all.
I would call ahead and see if you can talk to someone there about it. See if they have a doctor assigned to the infusion center who can directly evaluate each of you for monoclonal antibody therapy. With any luck, it’s done on an outpatient basis and you’re in and out of there and feeling better in a day or two.
Please give us an update. Hope you and your family are recovering.
we have been thru hell today- after getting approved for the antibody therapy spouse and I were told Thursday. The infusion center then called and said if we wanted to get today to go to emergency. So we go to emergency and they say they will do it. We go back and they do a bunch of tests and because as soo as we got there they automatically put us on oxygen (my oxygen levels ranging between 92 to 94) spouse was 90. The doctor then comes in and says no according to FDA they cannot give it because we have hypoxia and would have had to be 95. THIS IS WHAT I’M DEALING WITH.
They then determined we needed to be admitted but no therapy. I ended up having pneumonia. We decided to check out against their desires and we are trying to still do the appt for therapy tomorrow. Please please pray we are successful...
please see my update under your question

Good grief!
I will pray hard for you but please if you can’t get the monoclonal therapy let them admit you. You need treatment. I am sorry you are having so much trouble it shouldn’t be made that hard for people
now you see why I had as a plan B went with Ivermectin. I have been getting NO WHERE with our doctor or anyone for that matter for a week. I wish instead of you slamming me the whole thread you would have understood I would have done everything possible but this is what I am dealing with here for a doctor and a hospital
yes we understand that... they did send us home with 2 prescriptions... doxcycline and decadron
Well, I’ll say “Good Grief!” again.
I’m in the VA health system and it’s as strict with it’s doctors as it is with us patients.
I haven’t slammed you, if you’ll look, but your focus on ivermectin.
Good luck.
Have. it heard from you in a while. hoping you are all doing better
