OK any ice cream truck list without the Popsicle Firecracker is a bogus list.

I got bim bam banana pops, dixie cups
All flavors and push ups, too
I’m your ice cream man
Stop me when I’m passin’ by
They say all my flavors are guaranteed to satisfy

Chocolate Eclair. There is no other contender. My dog votes for whatever that magic truck person passes out the window! She hears the music jingle and she’s out the dog door, patiently waiting at the curb long before the truck is in sight.

I don't remember the treats so much but I have fond memories of the trucks coming through my neighborhood when I was growing up in the East Boston area. Even today, hearing that "ice cream truck music" brings back memories of lazy, hot summer afternoons when school was out.
You could hear that music from blocks away and we'd all rush home to collect whatever nickels, dimes and quarters we could scrounge up so we would be ready for when it came down our block.
You still see them in urban areas but almost never in the suburbs. That's probably because the kids in the suburbs never go outdoors!

My freshman and sophomore years in high school I spent the summers driving an ice cream scooter for my uncle. My number one seller was always the fudgesicle. Ice cream bars came in second and Dreamsicle’s came in third.

Ed “Mister Frosty” Markey ruined ice cream trucks forever.

We still have 1 ice cream truck that makes the rounds July-August and plays that classic music. I make sure there’s some slush funds on hand for the kids when he’s on our street. They might be the last generation to have those memories.

There's nothing like the ice cream truck coming around at 12:30 every day in the hot weather of July and August playing "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas."
It's between this:
And this:

Call in the Google maps embedded Good Humor Truck App. It sends an alert via text message to indicate the ETA to your street, so you can spend maximum time on Facebook and still get your ice cream fix.

Whatever happened to the Good Humor ice cream trucks, and Mister Softee? I haven’t seen any of those around in decades. But I’ve seen beat up old vans selling ice cream and popsicles in recent years.

I remember my mom being so mad at my aunt for finally showing me at 10 years old what that mysterious music really was haha

The good humor man had a distinctive truck and jingling bells. We loved him.
Later came a soft serve truck. And music.
