I’ve been trying to rationalize reasons for becoming a Swiss citizen. Their flag is a big plus.
My GG??grand father fled Switzerland and came to America to escape mortal religious persecution. He came to a Swiss community in East Tennessee where there were many others that fled Vaud for the same reason.
A hundred years passed before the American and Swiss cousins separated by religious differences would speak to each other.
