Your grandson is very smart! I have a number of methods and that’s certainly one of them. I won’t reveal them all here in case your DIL is a reader of our wonderful thread. I made sure I didn’t eat all day until my flight and then I slowly ate so many of those cheese-like goldfish crackers that I got a bad case of acid indigestion after we landed. (Is that even real food?) I thought I was going to have to induce vomiting to end the cracker redux after that 4 hour flight. I learned my lesson and didn’t fly non-stop again. The women who might throw me off get pretty busy serving beverages and snacks to pay much attention to me on the shorter flips.
I also fly Southwest when I can so I can choose my seatmate and then try to choose someone wearing their mask haphazardly or fiddling with it, suggesting they’re also uncomfortable. They’re less likely to complain if I have the mask off too long. Other means of unobstructed breathing shall remain private (*wink*).
Thank you. I am sure his family is completely devastated. I didn’t know him, he was a “car buddy” of my husband’s, both involved in restoring old cars.
1. From the title, "nuke drones" implies drones which are nuclear powered. The drones they refer to are torpedoes with nuclear warheads rather than nuclear power.
2. Torpedoes are torpedoes and NOT drones. If I fire a torpedo, I DON'T want it back. If I launch a drone, I would prefer to get it back.
3. Supposedly, these nuclear tipped torpedoes "... could be detonated underwater sparking 300ft high waves which could devastate coastal cities. Really? As slo-Joe would say, "Come on man."
4. A two megaton warhead exploding inside the 100 fathom curve might raise a wall of water 300 ft high but anything that close will be destroyed anyway. It takes a lot of energy to move enough water to 'destroy a city'. Energy levels drop off with the square of the distance. The math just doesn't work.
5. "And Putin has boasted its torpedoes can completely destroy coastal targets more than 6,000 miles away." Even an EXTREMELY long range torpedo has a range less than 20 nautical miles. That means the sub has to carry them the first 5,980 miles. That is the weak link. These 70kt torpedoes aren't going to sneak up on anyone. Stealth they aren't.
6. If indeed these 'nuke drones' have a much longer range, and they are going to remotely control these puppies over any appreciable distance I would love to hear how they plan to do it.
Calling a submarine a "city killer" because it carries 'nuke drone' torpedoes which can raise '300 ft high' waves which could devastate a city is stretch of a stretch of a stretch. Facts are rather inelastic.
Cutting undersea cables is a lot harder than you would think. It can be done but it isn't easy. Cut a fiber optic cable and it is a trivial exercise to know where the cut is. This is not conclusive to successful clandestine operations. Even if you cut one, other cables would pick up the load.
On a separate matter, I thought the size of the props looked rather small to push a sub of that size through the water quietly at any reasonable cruising speed. I would want larger slower turning props myself.
This list should not be considered all inclusive. I just got tired of dealing with it.

🧂Talk about needing salt - a few big bags might be needed to sprinkle on this article.
Thank very much for the bullet points - more than enough to help.
All I could get out of the article is lookeee here at scary sub. the rest was totally out of my realm of reference to be able to dispute. 👌
😊
A reminder: The House would choose the President with the vote being taken by states. The Senate would choose the VP.
There is no way that the House would pick Slo-Joe. The Dems just don't control enough state delegations. Even if the Senate chose Kamala, with Trump in the White House, her only job would be to preside over the Senate as there is no way Trump would trust here with anything of significance.

Miss Nevada is very pretty and, except for the wider-than-usual shoulders, you’d never guess Miss Nevada’s life started as a male. You have to wonder hard about the circumstances of a life that lead someone to make such a change. The most charitable explanation I can think of is that they were born a hermaphrodite with ambiguous gender traits, the parents were forced to choose the gender, and chose wrong. My world view is more orderly when I believe this sort of thing is a biological correction as opposed to a mental illness.
