A Florida woman caught in a love triangle with the son of a Florida state senator has been arrested for busting into his date unannounced and killing him, authorities said.
Lakoria Shamece Washington, 24, allegedly forced her way into an apartment earlier this month and fatally shot her ex-girlfriend’s date, Jason Campbell, the son of former state Sen. Daphne Campbell, NBC Miami reported.
When authorities responded to the scene, they found Jason’s body in the complex’s parking lot, with a trail of blood leading back to the apartment, the Miami Herald reported.
“Oh God I loss my baby son … with gun violence while he was sleeping,” his mother wrote on Facebook. “The killer do not have no heart.”
Police have not identified Jason’s date, who they say hid inside a laundry room when Washington showed up unannounced with a gun in the early hours of June 1, the Herald reported.
“She then heard a gunshot. She did not witness the shooting or anyone leaving the scene,” police wrote in the report, the paper reported.
Surveillance footage captured a woman, who was identified as Washington, enter the apartment complex shortly before the shooting, the outlet reported.
Police launched a manhunt that ended on Monday when authorities located Washington in Port Orange, NBC Miami reported.
She was still awaiting extradition Tuesday to Miami-Dade to face a first-degree murder charge in the shooting.

That is one of the more intelligent ones. Believe it or not. She is head and shoulders intelligent wise above Texas finest Shelia Jackson Lee . No wonder the Nation is in trouble.
Zero to 90. Yeah, murder is the solution. Not. People, the other person isn’t worth it.
We call it “guess the melanin content” in this house. A game played practically every day.
LOL - After all these years, I think of that scene every time I put my shoes and socks on.
