I was in deep with the Republican party at that time, even held office at the County level. We didn’t really have high hopes for Arnold, just thought he was the one that could win. A lot of us actually voted for McClintock while pushing Arnold. Sad thing is, McClintock actually did pretty good, and I think he may have won if the party had backed him. At the campaign party I didn’t even care to meet Arnold and shake his hand.
At first he attempted to reign in the unions, etc., and I worked hard to help, but it failed.
Got busy readying FR and forgot what I came for! It’s a PITA getting old...

Yes, McClintock would have been great. He is very smart & knew every line item & penny in the CA budget. He is a sharp guy. Unfortunately he didn’t have the star quality Arnold did & had no hope at the time.
Larry is sharp & has through his radio & TV shows, has the name recognition. And Larry is much more solid in his principles than Arnold ever was.
I’m still waiting for him to get to the bottom of all those things.
Might have to consider moving to TX.
I know my feckless Governor will jump at the chance to mask up again.
Told hubby that is just where we are headed and I don’t think I can go through it again.

A Southern California couple who accidentally sparked a wildfire last year by using pyrotechnics during a gender reveal party at a park in Yucaipa was charged with 30 counts, including involuntary manslaughter, in San Bernardino County Superior Court on Tuesday.
Led by San Bernardino County District Attorney Jason Anderson, 30 counts were placed on the couple following a grand jury hearing where 34 witnesses were questioned and 343 exhibits were presented. The Jimenez’s now face one felony count of involuntary manslaughter due to the death of Morton, four felony counts of recklessly causing a fire to inhabited structures, three felony counts of recklessly causing a fire with great bodily injury, and a final 22 misdemeanor counts of recklessly causing fire to property of another.
Anderson also added that while charges are only now coming 10 months after the El Dorado Fire, they had taken so long in part because they had wanted to be thorough in the investigation and make sure that those responsible were brought to justice.
“Then again, I wonder why the big push for people to take the vaccine. There’s little about this that makes sense.”
Because the pharmaceuticals were promised a lot of money. Need those sales!
