Interesting that Kamala had to say “In 1965 Democrats and Republicans” came together to pass the voting rights act. Of course she did not say that Republicans votes in a far higher percentage than the Dems. It may not have even passed if left up to the Dems alone.

The Democratic Party is the party of Jim Crow, of slavery, of the KKK,of blocking the schoolhouse door, etc. If the Republican Party of today was not the complicit party, they would hammer these points. Instead they just silently let it go when the Dems accuse Republicans of being racist.
