So I ran across this post on quodverum, SMH. I said to hubby the first week of DJT’s term - I think the is a war going on within the Intel Community. Not sure why it’s just now dawning on this person.

I’m sitting here, trying to wrap my head around the implications of the DIA having to keep a top Chinese intelligence official defector away from the CIA/FBI.
This is something else.
It’s as if there’s a cold war between the military and the CIA/FBI, etc.
Maybe there has been one for quite some time.
Why do you think they are trying to PURGE the military!!
Each agency vies for supremacy. The US Dept of State tramples DOD, but is the State Department really what it appears - if you realized that only 15,000 Foreign Service Officers and Specialists are authorized BY CONGRESS, and there are nearly 19,000 serving.... and that many positions are cover positions for their sister agency, well then it is the CIA fanning feuds - State may be college educated smartest in the room American representatives abroad, and they may hate republicans and the military but they are too back biting amongst themselves for promotions to create the agency damage to DOD. The CIA literally owns Special Operations so they might let the Pentagon run the rest of the military!
I have worked for the US EPA, VA, Dept of Navy, US Army, DOD and as vaunted member of the Department of State’s 15,000 authorized.
The DNC has corrupted State and the CIA with liberals - Hey AGENCY walk the heck up and realize that the DNC will ruin your two sister Agencies in this current environment.
The State Department is not “America’s Royalty” as HIllary told them; they are career diplomats who should be politically neutral.
You will not be hired by either State or their Sister (Lesbians maybe these to agencies that sleep together) if you are a known Republican. Oh you might slip thru in the IT or RSO - regional security field, but then your life will be hell if even if you keep your mouth shut, head down, and just internalize the hatred of conservatism explained in normal day-to-day talk in the corridors and hallways of the DOS.
The old Army Security Agency was good. The Navy bar none was tops in Intel. The AF has good intel gathering too. The DIA has probably retained more “rubber meets the road” former boots on the ground survivors of bad decisions than any other Agency, thus they have (had?) an operational credo more logical than liberal.
The NSA has control of 90 percent of the world Internet via routers and satellite communications and have EVERYTHING. They get everything every other agency and law enforcement agency has. BUT THEY DO NOT TIP THEIR HAND. It is difficult to know if the NSA has released workable intelligence for the Presidents, the CIA or the Military/Coast Guard. They just don’t give up anything. In a sense there is a FIREWALL of Sanity that prevents disclosure that would close off future information - they gather and gather.
The NSA could probably show the first Aliens everything on nearly person on Earth for the last 30 years. It can’t be destroyed. There are too many hardened repositories of All Knowledge in the US Govt spread out under DOD and others to lose your bank account information if we were Fried by EMP.
At this point in America’s history, the DNC has imposed it’s will upon all Americans with a vengeance. The DNC has co-opted the FBI, CIA, DOS, JUSTICE, and now the parts of the military.
The NSA needs to right the DNCs wrongs and give DIA their Intel to re-balance this Nation by putting our political class and parties back on he law abiding path required by the Constitution. Military Tribunals for the worst of them.
