In another conspiracy, here’s a history of failure of climate change calamity predictions, from a thread over on Instapundit:

“Climate change is affecting people all over the world, and everyone is trying to figure out what to do about it,” says disaster researcher A.R. Siders from the University of Delaware.

No. No it’s not. Climate change is affecting no one, because man’s contribution to the recent warming is de minimis. The theory has repeatedly been proven false. Here are 10 failed predictions. Science says when your predictions fail, you throw away the model. Dems say, when the predictions fail, make new ones.
1987: James Hansen, head of NASA’s Goodard Institute for Space Studies, who was the go-to guy for AGW early on before the UN formed the IPCC, predicted global temps would increase 3 degrees centigrade by 2020. The actual increase was 0.44 C.
1987: Predictions were for CO2 levels to double by 2020. The actual increase was 23%.
2009: China promised to cut it’s CO2 emmisions by 45% compared to 2005 levels. India promised to cut their emmissions by half. By 2020, China’s emmissions were 85% HIGHER from 2005. India’s emmssions were 150% higher.
2008: Scientists predicted all the snow on Mt. Kilimanjaro would be gone by 2020. As of 2020, there has been no appreciable decrease on the Mt. Kilimanjoro snow cap.
1986: The EPA predicted the sea levels would rise by 2 feet arond Florida. As of 2020, sea levels have risen less than four inches.
2000: Hadley Centre for Climate Predictions in the UK said British children could have virtually no experience of snow. “We’re really going to get caught out. Snow will probably cause chaose in 20 years time.”
Needless to say, snow falls have continued unabated for the last 20 years.
2000: Greenpeace predicts that by 2020, the pacific islands of Cook Islands and French Poynesai would lose 15% to 20% of their GDP due to rising sea levels. In 2019, the Cook Islands reported they has experienced and uprecedented six consecutive years of economic growth.
2004: A pentagon report predicts: By 2020, catastrophic shortages of water and energy supply will become increasingly harder to overcome. It warns that 8,200 years ago climate conditions brought widespread crop failure, famine, disease, and mass migration of populations that could soon be repeated.
2000: Climate models projected an ice free arctic by summer 2020. That summer, arctic ice covered 3.9 mln sq. kilometers at its minimum.
2009: Glacier National Park had signs all over the park warning that the Glaciers would be gone by 2020. The signs have been removed. The glaciers are still there.

Reminds me of this from 2019:

Climate Change and the Ten Warning Signs for Cults

https://medium.com/@hwater84/climate-change-and-the-ten-warning-signs-for-cults-56c181db82c1

1. Absolute authoritarianism without meaningful accountability.

2. No tolerance for questions or critical inquiry.

3. No meaningful financial disclosure regarding budget, expenses such as an independently audited financial statement.

4. Unreasonable fear about the outside world, such as impending catastrophe, evil conspiracies and persecutions.

5. There is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always wrong in leaving, negative or even evil.

6. Former members often relate the same stories of abuse and reflect a similar pattern of grievances.

7. There are records, books, news articles, or television programs that document the abuses of the group/leader.

8. Followers feel they can never be “good enough”.

9. The group/leader is always right.

10. The group/leader is the exclusive means of knowing “truth” or receiving validation, no other process of discovery is really acceptable or credible.
