Ubaldo Mastromatteo [1], published in 2016 a very simple experiment where he directed a laser beam on a thin film of palladium deposited on a silicon oxide substrate in H2 and D2 atmospheres. By SEM he showed formation of many new elements. Recently we did the same experiment with identical samples in H2 and D2.
Both experiments in H2 and D2 atmosphere lasted 3 months. We used a 5mW laser at 650nm. In this presentation, we will show the formation of hot spots detected by SEM and analyzed by EDX. Also, we did look for neutron formation with CR39 detectors. Finally, a TOF-SIMS analysis showed some isotopic anomalies.

LENR studies have shown a wide variety of manifestations of this phenomenon. It manifests itself in metals with hydrogen dissolved in them, in plasma, in gas discharge, in electrolysis, and even in biological systems. In addition to energy release, which far exceeds the capabilities of chemical reactions, LENR is characterized by a huge variety of emerging chemical elements.
The report provides examples of the appearance of many initially missing elements in different LENR installations. For example, in the nickel-hydrogen LENR reactor created in our laboratory, which worked for 7 months, Ca, V, Ti, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ba, Sr, Yb, Hf were found. Moreover, the appearance of new elements is found not only in the “fuel” but also in the surrounding matter. The huge variety of chemical elements that arise can be explained by the fact that in the processes of LENR, the interaction covers several atoms at once.
This can be an interaction initiated by neutrinos (antineutrinos) of very low energies, since such particles have a de Broglie wavelength (the size of the interaction region) much larger than the interatomic distances in condensed matter. Huge fluxes of neutrino-antineutrino pairs are generated in metals and dense plasmas by thermal collisions of electrons with atoms at a sufficiently high temperature. Another possible agent that causes collective nuclear transmutations is probably the light magnetic monopole (the magnetically excited state of neutrinos).

Thanks Kevmo.
Cute how you anticipated the reaction before even the first person called BS on this never ending nonsense. Can you have a real discussion on this topic without addressing the concerns of the skeptics? Do you start a thread with the hope that informed people will ignore them?
So the guy in the video you linked to has a cute French accent, but it is still 15 minutes that I will never get back.
How come you feel the need to include a pre-emptive warning on threads you post?
“...formation of many new elements.” Ishould think, at least for me, that this really demands an explanation in depth.
>>o not enter onto a thread on a topic you don’t like just to disrupt, rattle cages, poke sticks, insult the regulars, or engage in trolling activities, etc.<<
Should not even need to be said, but thanks for saying it.
Past bad experience with seagulls....
They might have meant “different” elements?.
The demonstration of what seems to be nuclear processes, by detecting apparent transmutation products and IMHO more importantly by finding a directional flux of neutrons coming out of the reaction zone is to me the most convincing thing of all. Some sort of contamination could in principle explain the non-palladium elements, but no contamination phenomena could possibly explain the neutrons, particularly since they showed a clear directional orientation.
I wish professor Biberian had shown SEM-EDX data of the sample surface before irradiation by the 5mW laser. Also he didn't state whether the "hot spot" was in region of maximum laser flux; it would have been nice if he had been able to show the distribution of regions of apparent nuclear activity in relation to the location of the laser beam spot. This is seemingly left to our imagination.
To me, the CR39 results showing neutron damage tracks has always been the most convincing evidence that something of a nuclear nature is going on. SPAWAR has seen abundant CR39 evidence in their co-deposition experiments, which they have made public in several venues and by publication.
A friend and I were talking about this just the other day.
Because of guys like you.
Feel free to post your own hyperskeptical seagull thread on this topic.
This seems to be the experiment replicated.

Research Article LENR Anomalies in Pd–H2 Systems Submitted to Laser Stimulation
Ubaldo Mastromatteo A.R.G.A.L. Via S. Stefano, 27 – 20010 Bareggio (MI), Italy
Abstract
In a continuation of the research started in the late 1990s at the University of Lecce, and then repeated in 2004, recently in the second half of 2014 in the A.R.G.A.L. lab., it was decided to thoroughly investigate the LENR anomalies of Pd–H2 system (in gaseous environment), having as reference the preparation techniques and surface analysis used in the microelectronics industry, to demonstrate convincingly that material contamination was not affecting the transmutation findings.
As previously, the activation of the anomalies occurred during irradiation by low power lasers (633 nm, 1 mW, or 403 nm, 3 mW) on 250 nm thick palladium layers deposited by high vacuum e-beam evaporation on silicon oxide substrates, and with 30 nm of Cr as adhesion layer. In summary we did the following: in a stainless steel chamber filled with hydrogen, through a glass viewport, the sample surface was irradiated for two weeks and then accurately inspected in a SEM equipped with an EDX microprobe. A reference sample was also accurately analyzed before irradiation. c ⃝ 2016 ISCMNS. All rights reserved. ISSN 2227-312
. Conclusions
The experiments cited as background indicate the presence of transmutations similar to those shown in these replication experiments described above. Often the transmutation findings were associated with other LENR anomalies, such as emission of neutrons and excess heat generation. Induced oscillations in the material, by ultrasound, radiofrequency, or laser radiation, sometimes appears essential for the occurrence of the anomalies. Since some elements attributable to transmutations can easily come from environmental contamination (Na, Si, Al, Mg, Ca), we plan to replicate controls on the samples with accurate SEM analysis before the laser treatment in the reactor. Finally, because almost all the experimental evidence reported, new and old, points to transmutation of the reacting material to lighter elements, a deeper investigation of possible fission reactions of the material submitted to the described tests is strongly suggested.
I am not sure what that even means, but I do have a carburetor for sale. It was invented in the 1970s; It will allow your old Ford Pickup to get 100 mpg.
