“I have never seen a president… who is so protected by his aides in terms of often not wanting him to answer some questions.” -CNN on Biden.

You still haven't, fake news CNN.

Biden is not the president.

I think it’s almost bad enough right now. I expect action within 6 weeks. We’ll just have to see what happens.

“I’ve read about weighted voting before and I can never ever understand it at all. Is there a kindergartner version to make it understandable?”

1 Vote does not equal 1.

1 Vote = 4/4 (as an example).

Once you divide 1 vote into a fraction, you can steer any portion of that fraction you want to whatever candidate you want. Example:
1/4 vote = Republican candidate
3/4 vote = Democrat candidate.

For every 4 votes cast, the Republican candidate gets 1 vote. The Democrat candidate get 3 votes.

Scale this up to hundreds, thousands or millions of votes and no matter how many people vote for one candidate or the other, the winner will have 3 times more votes than the loser (in this example).

The key to the voting machine is that 1) you can change the fraction to whatever spread you want, and 2) it always rounds up (or down) to show ONLY whole numbers - 100.75 votes shows up as 101 votes or 100 votes, depending on how it’s programmed.

If I remember correctly, this was first discovered in Michigan in the early days after the election.

“ I’ve read about weighted voting before and I can never ever understand it at all. Is there a kindergartner version to make it understandable?”

There are two things at play here. Weighted voting has been explained, but the other is fractional voting. As I understand it, that’s where votes for Trump would count as .8 votes while votes for Biden would count as 1.2 votes. This builds in a cushion for Biden while cheating Trump. Weighted voting does basically the same thing. It makes some votes more important than others,

The problem, again as I understand it, is that they didn’t give Biden enough of a cushion and were forced to figure out a new ratio on the fly, then apply it to the code. That happened during the pause in several states.

I actually would support weighted voting if it was done properly and honestly. Say everybody starts with a weight of 10. If you cost the taxpayers money in any way (net outlay), you drop to 1. If you are a net contributor, your weight goes up by 10 for every $5000 you contribute, to a maximum weight of say 100. The numbers are negotiable or course, but you get the idea.

IIRC, back in the day, only property owners got to vote. More skin in the game should mean more say in the direction of the country, within limits of course.

My apologies if this has been posted, I've been away for a couple of days.

Biden Administration Asks Americans to Report ‘Potentially’ Radicalized Friends and Family

Excerpt:
In a conversation with reporters, one senior administration official explained the importance of stopping politically fueled violence before it started.

“We will work to improve public awareness of federal resources to address concerning or threatening behavior before violence occurs,” the official said.

The official cited the Department of Homeland Security’s “If you see something say something” campaign to help stop radical Islamic terror as a domestic possibility.

“This involves creating contexts in which those who are family members or friends or co-workers know that there are pathways and avenues to raise concerns and seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence,” the official said.

I guess this is Ohio. I did a search for Ravenna, and the first one that came up is in Italy. Guessing this one is not in Italy.

Actually, I think that painting depicts King Canute’s explaining to his men that only God and not he can command the tides. And, I could be wrong, but I don’t think Canute hung out in Cornwall.
