Accurately describing the covid jab with proper English words harms the political cause of the statists, which is why they abuse the language.

Own the facts. The covid jab is genetic engineering.
Now whether it will prove to be helpful to humanity, certain age groups, with or without certain risks ... most of that is completely unknowable today.
But in about 3 years, I’ll decide. There will probably be enough data to buy down the unknowns, and my risks increase. Fair enough. In the mean time, I take my chances without.
Let’s just not torture language for political purposes. The jab is a huge genetic engineering experiment on a largely ignorant population.
That seems immoral, and requires some unknowable amount of pure luck not to turn out as mass casualties someday.
It IS the proper English word. Here’s the important part of the definition you posted:

Why are people getting these shots? To prevent disease.
They’re vaccines.
