Oddly, I like the Kroger brand ‘nice and cheesy’ better than Velveeta. I did get government cheese too, when I was a young mother. But the kind I got was more ‘substantial’ American cheese than the velveeta and nice&cheesy brands. The Government cheese, to me, was more like the Field’s or even boars head (if you are really luck) American cheese.
I remember ours being Velveta-like, but it could be sliced and also made great Grilled Cheese Sandwiches!
Again, eating like Royalty, LOL!
as a kid, we thought Velvetta was the "cheap" or "poor" cheese...now, I can't believe its about $7 bucks....
we had unbelievably hot weather 3 days ago and now our nights are cool back at night...no rain whatsoever for a long time....
