Mom was 17 when she and her parents moved to Chattanooga from Ohio. They were Democrats. My dad’s family have been Republicans since the Civil War that I know of. Mom didn’t drive in the 50’s and Dad wouldn’t take her to vote unless she promised to vote Republican. She fully adopted the Republican party before long and I have NEVER known her to vote for a Democrat. She thought Bush could do no wrong. She is doing what so many have done when it comes to Trump. She can’t see past the way he says things over what he is saying. It would be way over her head at this point to explain it to her. All she sees is a loud Yankee bully where most of us see through that to the real man. She saw a Southern gentleman in Bush and never looked past that. It took me a long time to see through him. I voted for him twice and didn’t see it until we got a real President that loved America and the American people. I will forever compare and hold all future Presidents to Trump’s standards.
I can grab 10 random people in WalMart and 9 of them would understand that is some weak azz propaganda.

Arizona Governor Vetoes 22 Bills, Including Election Integrity and Anti-Critical Race Theory Legislation
Arizona Republican Governor Ducey vetoed 22 bills on May 28, including measures relating to election integrity and Critical Race Theory, arguing that lawmakers need to focus on passing a budget.
“Today, I vetoed 22 bills. Some are good policy, but with one month left until the end of the fiscal year, we need to focus first on passing a budget. That should be priority one. The other stuff can wait,” Ducey wrote on Twitter. The governor, a Republican, said he won’t sign any more bills until a budget is passed.
Republicans in the state, including Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward, noted that some of the bills that were vetoed include an election integrity measure and a bill that would prohibit entities from using taxpayer funds to promote the quasi-Marxist Critical Race Theory.
According to the Arizona Legislature’s website, House Bill 2792—which would bar the mass mailing of ballots to residents who did not request them—was vetoed on May 28 by the governor. The measure would make it a felony for an election official to send a ballot to a voter who hadn’t made that request.
Another bill that was vetoed by Ducey, Senate Bill 1074, would prohibit the Critical Race Theory training of government workers that “that presents any form of blame or judgment on the basis of race, ethnicity or sex,” reported the Arizona Mirror.

Don’t know if they’d last forever... my old one stopped “working” when 2G became obsolete... it still turns on, though, and I can see the address book, etc. So I transferred the number and minutes to a newer model, I forget how many years ago.
You have to keep adding minutes every year, whether you use them or not, in order to keep a Tracfone “active”... mine has somewhere around 9000 minutes on it now. LOL But it sure beats what I’d have to pay for a monthly cellphone account, which I’d use just as infrequently.

Well, so far, I don’t give it out to anyone except a few family and friends. And for 25 years, I haven’t been getting telemarket calls either. Of course, that will likely change, since so many places can nab it when you call them.
To me, the ultimate Memorial Day movie is “Taking Chance” with Kevin Bacon portraying LTC Michael Strobl, a Marine who is escorting a PFC on his last journey home.
In his After Action Report, LTC Strobl wrote about the reactions of the people he came into contact with during his escort duties. The respect and honor shown by people who didn’t even know Chance Phelps was both touching and heartbreaking.
His report ended up being printed numerous times, and was made into a movie by HBO.
No politics, no histrionics, just a story of a fallen Marine’s final journey from Dover AFB to Dubois, Wyoming and the support and respect that was shown.
Watch it, you will not regret it.
