Conservative pundits Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will soon take over Rush Limbaugh’s radio timeslot, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
“The duo will serve up similar right-wing fare, tackling news stories of the day, politics and current events, peppered with call-ins from listeners and humor,” the Journal reported.
“We’re not going to replace Rush Limbaugh, we’re going to have an evolution of the show with fresh voices – those that grew up on Rush and admired him,” president of iHeart Media’s Premiere Networks Julie Talbott said, according to the Journal.
Travis is the founder of conservative sports website Outkick, which was recently acquired by Fox News.
“No one ever replaces a legend, and Rush Limbaugh is the most influential and listened to radio voice across multiple generations,” Travis said in a post on OutKick. “But the battles Rush fought aren’t ending. If anything, they’re just becoming more intense. And I think intense and rigorous and intelligent debate has never been more important in this country than it is right now.”
Sexton is a former CIA intelligence officer-turned-conservative commentator, podcaster, and radio host. He also hosts a nightly show on conservative digital platform The First.
“Needless to say, I could not be more excited, @ClayTravis and I are going to do a great show together. Get ready for it,” Sexton posted on Twitter, along with an American flag emoji.
Since Limbaugh’s death in February, Premiere Networks has been airing reruns of segments of Limbaugh’s show in the noon to 3 p.m. timeslot, with guest host commentary between clips.

Clay Travis discusses how he came to be in this position:
This is confusing because there are two shows and possibly several different time slots we are talking about and possibly mixing them up. First. Dan bongino is a separate show and the people who sponsored Rush’s show chose to have that show in place of where Rush Limbaugh used to have his 12pm time slot. That is not the Rush Limbaugh Show. Those two hosts were chosen to replace Rush Limbaugh for that show. Show The Rush Limbaugh Show will be hosted by those two men and some market’s and sponsors will pick up that show. I believe that is different from the Dan Bongino show. Anybody smarter than me please explain more.
I was slightly wrong. Buck did not end radio show instead Clay is joining the show and it’s moving to Limbaugh times lot so The First still runs his radio show but also gave Buck another show called Hold The Line. I am unsure what time Buck Sexton Show currently runs. But The first has other shows between 6 and 9pm. It used to run 6pm to 9pm Eastern.
I don't know who this Clay guy is except that he is a sports junkie, so that means he is apparently not bothered by the wokeness trend in sports or the acceptance of trans athletes in women's events.
The syndication is being taken over by I-Heart radio, a company that is totally woke and all in for BLM, climate change activism and the new world order.
I listen to Clay in the morning on his Outkick the Coverage sports show. He has admitted in the past that he voted for HUSSEIN and he did not vote for Trump in 2016. HOWEVER, since then he has changed his tune. He went to the WH with Jason Whitlock and spoke to Trump about the chinese virus and sports. He had Trump on his show to speak to his audience about what part Trump had in getting sports back on line. Clay voted for Trump in 2020 and supports him. Clay is a lawyer and sometimes gives his legal perspective on things going on, ie the Deshaun Watson fiasco. Clay is against the "woke" nation and as he calls them, the corona bros who peddle fear porn. Those who say he won't be good, obviously haven't listened to him.
WRONG WRONG WRONG. Shouldn't judge people you know nothing about. Clay is TOTALLY AGAINST the 'woke' nation and the corna bros who peddle fear porn. Give the guy a chance before you run him down.
I can't help but think there were some conditions Bongino wouldn't go along with and that's why he was scrapped.
I listen to Rush at work on line and would like to find Bongino on a station not controlled by I-Heart.
My new radio guy is a conservative, Christian black man by the name of James T Harris. I love his show in Phoenix he comes on from 6-10 am! He ends his show on Friday with a prayer! When was the last time you got that on the radio that wasn’t a religious show?
The other bright young man out there is Charlie Kirk, leader and founder of Turning Point USA. This guy is really doing the work on high school and college campuses fighting back against the liberal indoctrination of the young.
