With the Gates’ divorce and previously the Bezos’ divorce, seems to me the wives (follow the wives) aren’t stupid and perhaps are moving to salvage wealth to protect it from being touched in regard to future legal actions?

I’ve seen a theory that the Gates duo knew the DS was going to tank the stock market and wanted out without portraying knowledge. Declaring divorce made that happen quickly.

It’s also probably hard to be married to pure evil, so there’s that. Some kind of self-defense at play, as you have said.
