Even NYT Hits CDC for Overstating Chances of COVID Transmission Outdoors by Potentially 10,000%

“Follow the science” has become a Democratic refrain during the coronavirus pandemic. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — presumably the purveyor of the “science” we’ve heard so much about — has continually misled Americans and manufactured unnecessary fear.

The latest example of the CDC’s dishonesty comes from The New York Times — yes, The Times — which reported that the CDC may be overstating the risk of outdoor COVID-19 transmission by as much as 100 times.

The CDC claims that outdoor transmission of the virus accounts for “less than 10 percent” of all transmission, according to The Times. While this is technically true, it is also quite misleading.

“In truth, the share of transmission that has occurred outdoors seems to be below 1 percent and may be below 0.1 percent,” The Times reported.

If there is indeed a 0.1 percent share of outdoor transmission, that would make the CDC’s figure a 10,000 percent exaggeration.

That hasn’t stopped the CDC from effectively lying about the need for masks outdoors. It still insists that unvaccinated people and even vaccinated people need to wear masks outside in certain situations.

“The CDC says that unvaccinated people should wear masks in most outdoor settings and vaccinated people should wear them at ‘large public venues,'” The Times reported.

These recommendations are not in any way based on science.

Saying that less than 10 percent of Covid transmission occurs outdoors is akin to saying that sharks attack fewer than 20,000 swimmers a year. (The actual worldwide number is around 150.) It’s both true and deceiving."

In addition is the aspect of low viral load. With the wind as strong as it was today and often here in MA, then the chance of catching Covid is even less, and resulting in a serious case is virtually nill.

Looks like my people, the flubro/anti-vax coalition, is right about EVERYTHING.

The CDC guidance following herd who was feared into 'taking the jab' is finding out they've been lied to every step of the way.

Maybe you can John Wayne that vax out of your body. Make an 'X' shaped incision on your forearm and get a cowboy to suck the blood out. Make sure he spits it out, though, so he don't get that poison in his own body.

Do we excuse them on the grounds that they are simple minded sheep?

Or should they be made to suffer consequences for enabling the lying derp state and heathen Chinee enemy.
