Bertie Wooster did not fondle little girls or commit sexual assaults. Also wasn’t part of a massive bribery scheme with foreign powers thru his son.

I object. Bertie Wooster was more then a bit dim but he was good hearted.

Bertram Wilberforce Wooster is a fictional character in the comedic Jeeves stories created by British author P. G. Wodehouse. An amiable English gentleman and one of the "idle rich", Bertie appears alongside his valet, Jeeves, whose intelligence manages to save Bertie or one of his friends from numerous awkward situations. Bertie Wooster and Jeeves have been described as "one of the great comic double-acts of all time"

For people like me who had no idea who you were talking about.

Now that that has been explained, do you want to explain why you think that is the case?

To me Chance, from the movie: Being There is more like Biden:

Simple-minded Chance, whom everyone clamors to for his "wisdom".

Chance lives in the townhouse of a wealthy old man in Washington, D.C.. He has spent his whole life tending the garden and has never left the property. Other than gardening, his knowledge is derived entirely from what he sees on television. When his benefactor dies, Chance naively tells the lawyers that he has no claim against the estate and is ordered to move out.

Chance wanders aimlessly, discovering the outside world for the first time. Passing by a TV shop, he sees himself captured by a camera in the shop window. Entranced, he steps backward off the sidewalk and is struck by a chauffeured car owned by elderly business mogul Ben Rand. In the car is Rand's much younger wife Eve, who mishears "Chance, the gardener" in reply to the question who he is, as "Chauncey Gardiner".

IDK. Tough one, maybe what Bertie might grow to- if he lost his good spirit.

Seems there was one old codger who wasn’t sharp and didn’t have a good heart in the stories but I can’t think of him now.
Hard to re-read them , the surprises in the situations are so enjoyable.

Biden like Bertie Wooster? Bite your tongue. Bertie wasn’t a senile, mean-spirited liar and child molester.

Both Biden and Wooster are quite stupid, but there the resemblance ends.

Bertie Wooster is a fictitious, harmless, idiotic, extremely polite gentlemanly character, who inherited a fortune, and must be saved from himself on a regular basis, due to being such a bumbler.
Joe Biden is an evil, now half demented, lying, crook, who stole the presidency of the United States, and who, with help from his confederates, is in the process of destroying the country.
