I never thought it would happen to me!
April 16th, Kiteboarding at Desoto Beach Florida, I fell and when I stood up Bam!! Stingray Barb right in the bottom of my foot!! The bastard got me good because the water turned Crimson around me almost immediately! I made my way back into the beach, wrapped my foot the best I could, stowed my gear in the van and headed to Palm Medical Center near Treasure Island.
Long story short, I got 2 X-rays on my foot to check for pieces of the Barb, a little saline flush syringe, and the Doc glued the loose skin and filled the hole. Told me no water for 2 weeks... I came home!
Last week I got 2 calls from their billing department. the first was mild, but the second one today, was pushy, trying to get me to sign up for Medicaid to pay for the bill. The first call wouldnt tell me the amount. but told me they would send the bill in the mail. Today's call, told me the amount was $8000 and change... I said are you Bleeping kidding my?? 2 xrays, a plastic syringe douche and glue is 8K???? Her response!?? Well if you sign up for Medicaid, they will pay it no problem!!!
I lost it and told her that I think I'm getting ripped off, and i'll be damned if I'm gonna allow you to rip of the Tax payers!!
Now granted, 8K isnt jack in the medical field. but its just the friggin point... How determined the girls were to get me to sign up to pay the bill... friggin Crazt!!
so, I think its a clear case of fraud... who do I lay this on for the best results??
And yes, stupid, you did demand free care. Have you paid your bill? Until you do you have benefited from the fruits of someone else’s labor.
He has the means to provide for himself, and failed to do so.

2. Semi yearly trips to Florida

welp. I found the problem.
The medical and insurance systems are not as generally organized as they appear to be. There are subgroups within them that are organized for getting as much as they can get for themselves, and some of those subgroups, what they can get for client groups (e.g., corporations). They are collectives of individuals, each getting as much they can for themselves.
The human population is chaotic, although there are trends. People looking for employment or anything else involved with money should realize that. It’s a healthier outlook. The job market is certainly chaos. Getting a job can be a full time job, and there are ways to go about it more efficiently.
We’d be better served by a system that would allow us to shop for insurance anywhere in the United States and even to let insurance brokers do the shopping for us. If I remember correctly, that was one thing that President Trump was aiming for. Don’t know whether or not we kept him in office long enough to get that done. I’m guessing not.

Your unpaid bill goes to the general fund. > 50% of health care bills are paid for by the government including funding for hospitals for NONINSURED CARE. Look up critical access hospitals. Look up how health care is paid. YES, the government funds healthcare for indigent. And the good people of Florida picked up YOUR BILL, You are a thief.

Everyone is a taxpayer. But what some beneficiaries of the medical-insurance complex are receiving will come out of the assets of others. In your case, you’re cheating them, and they were already cheating you. It’s a system that seems organized and moral to some because of the bookkeeping, but it isn’t fair, moral or ethical. It demands that some people pay more than others, and there are many excuses for its behavior.
The monster does involve markets, but buying something from it is not like buying a pair of pants or a set of tires. You’ll go to a nearby emergency room and take what is laying in wait for you.
