Sounds like your family dodged the bullet “so far”.
The other thing to watch is over time. No one knows what is in the vaccine and how it will react to each and every person over time. Lots of chances to take when getting shot up. I’ll pass.
We’re passing on it too. I worry most about my granddaughter since she has longer to live. Her chances of coming down with an autoimmune disease from it is greater than her mothers. Since I’m older I would have taken it if it would have stopped them but they were determined. My granddaughter didn’t have much choice since she’s in the medical field but she convinced my daughter.
I’m really hoping it’s all more hype than reality.

I think I had it last March but I also know people that have had it more than once in a short period of time. I haven't been inside a store since last March unless I'm the only one in there. If we eat out we get it in the drive-thru. Mostly we stay home and shop by mail.
My granddaughter has had several tests after being exposed to covid positive patients but so far so good. Nothing here has been shutdown except for the first two weeks to a month of this. My daughter and SIL have been going to work daily. It's nothing short of a miracle that somebody in the immediate family hasn't had it. My baby sister had it and one sister-in-law has it now but neither has been serious.
We'll just keep doing what we're doing since it's worked so far. I have been around people but not big crowds of strangers so I'm sure I have been exposed but not bombarded with the virus.
