In 2018, Kansas was coming off a disastrous couple of years under Sam Brownback. Brownback got a tax cut plan he wanted through the house and senate, but as one pundit reported, after revisions, it contained only the worst of all parts of the plan. Revenues plummeted, etc. and Kansans were ready for a change.
Grandma Kelly (D) was elected because (a) Kris Kobach (who has no self-awareness) won the Republican primary to run against her, (b) an Independent candidate Greg Orman acted as a spoiler and (c) 28 GOPe former or current officials endorsed Kelly.
Missouri has no room to talk. We elected a dead guy to the U.S. Senate, Mel Caranhan and then drove a governor from office, Eric Greitens.
This is no better cause for this Republic right here, right now than the Arizona Rangers. Give till it hurts:
